HO-HUM, ANOTHER DAY WORKING IN THE YARD

DSC_3585

LOTS OF GOLDFISH IN THE LITTLE POND NOT FAR FROM OUR PLACE THIS MORNING

Our 70 degree temperatures have literally been beating our snow banks into water.  Thank you big temperature guy:))

MY FIRST LOAD OF THE YEAR FOR OUR PARK'S LANDFILL SITE

Don’t want to bore everybody with another Spring clean up day but that is exactly what my entire day consisted of, & will consist of for a fair few days more until I’ve got things ship shape for another year.  Nice to be outside & productively busy.

SO GREAT TO HAVE A PLACE TO TAKE OUR YARD WASTE...BEEN HAULING STUFF TO THIS SPOT FOR ABOUT EIGHT & A HALF YEARS NOW....THAT IS A VERY LONG TIME FOR AL TO LIVE IN ONE PLACE!!

I remember one morning about a month or so ago when, for whatever reason, our Motor Home door would not open from the inside.  Began to feel like we were locked in our own rig, but after about 30 seconds we were able to get the door open & all was well.  Still don’t know why the door would not unlock but what if it hadn’t opened!!  Check out what JIM & SANDIE had to do when they recently became ‘trapped’ in their own RV.

WITH MY FLASHLIGHT SUNDAY NIGHT I WAS ABLE TO FIND A COUPLE SMALL 'PEEPER' FROGS AROUND THE EDGE OF OUR LITTLE FROG POND

We welcome Pennie from Full-time RVers as our latest blog supporter.  A big thank you from the Bayfield Bunch:))

A SCHOOL OF GOLDEN FISH MAKE THEIR WAY ACROSS THE POND

I liked BIG DAWG & FREEWAY'S post this morning about, ‘Words.’  Liked the saying at the end of the post so have included it at the bottom of my posts for awhile.  I particularly liked Sue’s line in her opening paragraph that said, “I wonder if the words were put together in a different way would they be ‘taken in a different’ manner???”  My short answer to Sue’s question is a resounding, yes!!  I may post a longer answer about my views on all that sometime in the future.

SPRING VIOLETS IN OUR NEIGHBOR'S GRASS

GROANER’S CORNER:((   A mechanic was removing the cylinder heads from the motor of a car, when he spotted a world-famous heart surgeon in his shop. The
heart surgeon was standing off to the side, waiting for the service manager to come take a look at his car. The mechanic shouted across the garage, "Hello Doctor, please come on over here for a minute."
The famous surgeon, a bit surprised, walked over to the mechanic. The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked, "So doctor, look at this.  I also open hearts, take valves out, grind 'em, put in new parts, and when I finish this will work just like a new one. So how come you get the really big money, when you and I are doing basically the same work?" The doctor smiled, leaned over, and whispered to the mechanic
"Try doing it with the engine running!"

And this is why I like the simplicity of our little Jeep....... Willy's Jeep

  1. Al,
I think if you and Kelly practice that jeep disassembly/assembly thing this summer, you can have it perfected by the fall. I'm looking forward to the pictures of it.

  4. There is something so satisfying about spring and clearing away all the old debris of the past year, making way for the new growth. Sort of like what we should be doing in our own lives. Glad you're enjoying it.

  7. Every time we see a "bare bones" Jeep, we say "There's one Al would like!!" Love to see the pictures of anything you take. You can even make work look like fun. Especially when I can say to myself, "Al's enjoying it, better him than me!"

  8. April 11th is my birthday. Donna fixed steak and baked potatoes for dinner and it was great! She also welcomed me to Club Med (icare).

We're in the sunshine and by the creek, so life is good. I don't feel a day over 65!!!
