STILL DOING BATTLE WITH THIS MISERABLE RESPIRATORY THING!!!!

DSC_0079

SOME EARLY SIGNS OF AUTUMN

I will be so glad to make it through a blog without having to mention this miserable respiratory problem I am having right now.  It has dominated my days this past week & after another totally rotten night I have been curled up in my recliner for most of the day.  I thought when the sore throat cleared up yesterday I was on my to recovery.  Not so!!  It seems respiratory stuff is worse at night & I hardly got any sleep again because of the constant coughing.  If I have another bad one tonight I will have to make an appointment with my own Doctor tomorrow morning for a second opinion about what is going on here!!

I don't have a lot of energy to put a post together tonight so I dug something up from my archives.  I have posted it a few times before & here it is again because this is a 'heads up' post for other RV drivers out there.  I call it,  AWWWW NUTS...WE'RE GONNA NEED A TOW TRUCK!!!!

-Dates are  for having fun, and people  should use them to get to know each other. Even boys  have something to say if you listen long enough.     --  Lynnette, age  8

-On  the first date, they just tell each other lies and that  usually gets them interested enough to go for a second  date.

  1. Try Robitussin DM cough syrup...it has something in it that loosens up the crap in your chest...However...I agree that you should go to your Doc and have him take a look...Chest congestion takes it's toll.I had that stuff last summer for 6 weeks...Coughing was horrible at night..and I should have worn Depends most of the time...just sayin' (probably more info than you needed)...You have to be pro -active on your own health care..at least here in the states!

  2. Al, I'm sorry you still ailing.

I had the coughing crud (diagnosed as bronchitis) last year from early November until near Christmas. It took 3 rounds of antibiotics and a round of steroids to knock it out. I even had what the doc called post-bronchitis syndrome which is what the steroids took care of. Hope you feel better soon. Good luck!

  3. You really should see your own doctor. This isn't going to go away easily, and your MD might give you some relief. Hang in there, buddy!

  5. I rarely get a cold but when I feel something coming on I take a teaspoon of Manuka honey 4 times a day and suck on Fisherman's Friend lozenges. That usually kicks it out of my system fast. Manuka honey is only found in New Zealand and is a special type. It is expensive but worth it. Hope you get back to normal soon.

  7. I've been researching a lot of natural remedies over the past few years, and a couple that I came across just this past year are Olive Leaf Extract (capsules) and Colloidal Silver (Silver Biotics (liquid) @ Swansons Vitamins . com)...we only take them if we feel the first "tinges" of something coming on...or if we're around a lot of people...not a single cold, flu, sore throat, bronchitis...the stuff really works!...and doesn't interfere with any other meds or vitamins. Check out EarthClinic.com and SwansonsVitamins.com. I'm really glad we did! Sure do hope you feel better soon! - Mary Ann

  10. Sorry you are still sick. I agree with others to see your Doctor. Did you ever get results of the swab they took?

  11. Don't belive the negatives you hear about ZiCam -- it's our favorite for colds and allergies. However, you do have to use it starting with the first signs. Could still help. All the ZiCams that had a problem were pulled from the market, so the onmes that are left are fine!
