A QUIET SPRING DAY

DSC_0041-1

MORNING WALK IN A SPRING FOREST

We never reach a point where there is nothing to do, but we often have difficulty coming up with the motivation to do things.  The hardest part is not necessarily mowing the grass, washing the RV, or planting the garden.  The hardest part is often just getting off the couch to do it!!

TRILLIUM FLOWERS & MAY APPLES

I was disappointed that my mobility run was cancelled this morning so the day didn't start off on the most productive foot.

THE FOREST IS CARPETED WITH TRILLIUMS

It is one of those blog nights where I am sitting here at the computer with a blank mind.  The front yard cast of characters are at the feeders.  Blue Jays, Cardinals, Cowbirds, & Red Wing Blackbirds, just to mention a few.   The world in front of me is turning greener with each passing day & the evening pastel sunlight on the west side of the pine trees tell me we are approaching the end of another day.

CHECKERS & MAX ENJOY A MORNING DIP IN THE CREEK ALONG THE TRAIL

Sometimes there are feelings of peace & sometimes there are just.........feelings.

GROANER'S CORNER:((   As a senior citizen was driving down the freeway, his car phone rang. Answering, he heard his wife's voice urgently warning him, "Herman, I just heard on the news that there's a car going the wrong way on 280. Please be careful!"

"Hell," said Herman, "It's not just one car. It's hundreds of them!"

  1. Your posts are always intereting to read, so no worries about "nothing to say." Your pictures are sparlking clear and colorful, and now that our own coastal winds are drying out the green grasses, it's nice to see beautiful green foresty areas and your does enjoying the life! In fact, I'd like to see a bit about how you first met Max, Checkers and Motor Mouse.

  2. A nice, quiet, blog post for a quiet spring day - just perfect. This post is sure going to help me on days when I don't have anything particular to write about. I think that great philosopher Yogi Berra would put it this way - "if you have nothing to say, then say it"!! Great post, Al.

  3. Keep on posting...Stu and I look forward to your blog and photos.

BTW, saw a link to RVThereYet. Might want to read this blog, http://fabgrandma.com/yeah-just-a-little-ticked-off/ and then talk to Karen (fabgrandma) about it.

    Hugs to you both!!!

  4. Al, you are sure right about getting up off your couch (although I use a more descriptive term) to do projects. I have a dozen little 5-minute things to do, and I don't get to them. Of course, it often takes 15 minutes to assemble the ladder, the tools, and -- most importantly -- the energy to get up off my "couch" and get started. By the way, your springtime forest pictures are lovely. There is certainly a lot to be said for northern forests!
