OUR PARK IS NOW KNOWN AS 'THE BAYFIELD PINES'

 SUMAC LEAVES IN THE PINES
I think it was about as close to a perfect weather day as one can get.  On our morning walk, I stood quietly beside a cornfield listening to the soft whispers of playful corn stalk leaves rustling in the warm southerly breeze.

WILDFLOWERS AT THE EDGE OF THIS MORNING'S CORNFIELD
Following our walk, Pheebs and I headed on home again.  It seems not going anywhere anymore has, unfortunately, become the norm for us guys.  I think it might be the combination of the Jeep's engine leaking oil and higher gas prices that have slowed us down.  There have been some thoughts about making a few vehicle changes at some point but so far they are just thoughts.

Pheebs and I did get out for an afternoon walk and once again I took my clippers along as we walked the Pine Tree Trail's shorter section.  Moved more sticks and branches off the trail.

THERE ARE STILL A FEW OLD DERELICT DINOSAURS LURKING IN THE PARK
THESE ARE THE ONLY TWO OLD MECHANICAL MONSTERS LEFT IN THE PARK'S BONEYARD
A new name for our Park has been chosen so from now on I will refer to our Park as 'The Bayfield Pines.'  Good choice for a name I'd say.

A TEST SHOT FROM ONE OF MY CAMERAS THIS AFTERNOON
A former neighbor of ours here at the Park dropped in today and brought us a birdhouse.  Don's wife isn't well and after moving to an apartment in London they didn't have any use for the birdhouse anymore.  Hadn't seen Don since they left here in 2016 so it was nice getting caught up with him.

THE FIRST THING I AM GOING TO DO IS HANG A SIGN ON DON'S BIRDHOUSE SAYING 'NO SQUIRRELS ALLOWED!!'
Well, here we are into the month of July already.  Oh geeeezzzz, the way time is flying by, in a few months, I will have to winterize the motorhome again.  Seems like I just did that.  Oh, maybe that was when I de-winterized it.  I wonder why I de-winterized it?  Sometimes I wonder why I get up in the morning:((

DAY LILY
GROANER'S CORNER:((      Never read the fine print. There ain't no way you're going to like it.

- If you let a smile be your umbrella, then most likely your butt will get soaking wet.

- The trouble with bucket seats is that not everybody has the same size bucket.
- To err is human, to forgive - highly unlikely.
- Do you realize that in about 40 years, we'll have thousands of old ladies running around with tattoos?

    3: Slowing Down
We live in a fast-paced world, and it’s natural to feel hurried and pressured by all the things we need to do. Slowing down is about changing the rapid pace of our thinking, as well as choosing to spend our time wisely.

When we slow down the mind, we have time to work better, to reflect, and to act in freedom. The quality of our work will improve, we’ll feel more fulfilled, and we’ll be able to contribute to our families and communities more effectively. We’ll be living with a deeper level of awareness.

“Even to see life, we need to go slow. To enjoy life, we need to go slow. To understand people, to understand situations, to arrive at considered conclusions and to make wise decisions – for all of these, we need time.”

  2. Such beautiful flowers. Nice to get out and spiff-up the trail now that the park is committed to keeping it green and natural. The new name means they have to keep all those pines :-))) What a great birdhouse, the neighborhood birds will love it.
