KELLY HAD A TROUBLE-FREE TRIP TO BROCKPORT NEW YORK TODAY

OUR FRONT YARD JUNGLE HAS GROWN IN THICKER THAN EVER THIS YEAR
It was 9 o'clock right on the nose when Kelly rolled out of the driveway this morning heading for Brockport New York.  Her Mother's memorial is next Saturday in Spencerport NY just east of Brockport.  Kelly decided to go a week early to help with some of the arrangements and do some visiting.  She had a rare good night's sleep and felt good this morning so she is off to a good start for the week.

PHEEBS KNOWS SOMETHING IS UP THIS MORNING
 'OH-NO MOM'S GOING AWAY AGAIN'
'CAN YOU TALK HER INTO STAYING DAD'
 AND THERE SHE GOES
With nice weather upon us at the moment Pheebs and started our day off in the usual manner with a walk on our country road.  Didn't go anywhere after that except a quick swing through Bayfield and then home again.

A NICE SUNDAY MORNING FOR FOLKS ON BAYFIELD'S SOUTH PIER
 HEADING OUT FOR A PADDLE
BOATING SEASON IS BACK IN FULL SWING FOR ANOTHER SEASON
The highlight of my day was a phone call from my good buddy Richard way up there in that Wawa Ontario place near the northeastern shores of Lake Superior.  Richard's call went a long way in me doing this post tonight.  I had been leaning heavily the other way before he called.  I have been once again questioning myself lately about this whole blog thing and why I write some of the things I do.  Richard's words had the answers to some of those questions.

OUR IRIS FLOWERS ARE IN BLOOM AND WHAT AN INTERESTING ROCK THAT IS RICHARD GAVE US BEFORE LEAVING FOR WAWA
OUR RHODODENDRON IN FRONT OF THE SUNROOM WINDOWS IS BLOOMING
A RHODODENDRON BUD
A BUZZY BEE IN THE RHODO
Our front yard has finally taken on its summer jungle look and even more so this year than ever with many large ferns popping up all over the place.  I like this jungle look and it gives us the privacy we always so much desire.  If only it would stay the way it is right now all year round.

I LOVE ALL THESE FERNS...MAKES OUR YARD FEEL VERY TROPICAL....AND WITH ALL THE BIRDS COMING AND GOING IT SOUNDS THAT WAY TOO

KELLY'S FRONT YARD FLOWER GARDEN HAS REALLY FILLED IN AND THAT IS HOW I LIKE TO SEE A FLOWER GARDEN....LUSH AND FULL
I'm going to put in a plug here for a certain program I use and am very happy with here on the computer every day.  It's called Grammarly and I have been using the free version for the past 93 weeks.  To date, it has checked slightly over 2,178,073 words I have written.  Grammarly has been a huge help to me with not only spelling but punctuation and grammar as well.  The paid version does more such as checking sentence structure and offering alternatives, etc.  I'm comfortable with the way I structure my sentences so I didn't opt for the paid version.  Besides, I purposely bend many of my sentences out of shape anyway because that makes the blog me.  I'm not bent out of shape over perfection anyway and another example of that is my photos.  Most are okay but not perfect.  I leave perfection to the true professionals.  They do a much better job than I do whether it's writing or taking pictures.  Our friend Gordon Woolford comes to mind when I think of photography.............
Kelly emailed from Brockport this afternoon saying her drive went fine with lite traffic and she didn't have any problems crossing the border.  She likes her room at the Inn she is staying at.  I had a peanut butter sandwich for supper.  All is well and if it continues that way I hope to write another post tomorrow, and maybe even the day after.  And, well you know...........

GROANER'S CORNER:((  A guy stood over his tee shot for what seemed an eternity; looking up, looking down, measuring the distance, figuring the wind direction and speed. Driving his partner nuts. Finally, his exasperated partner says, "What's taking so long? Hit the blasted ball!"  The guy answers, "My wife is up there watching me from the clubhouse. I want to make this a perfect shot."  "Forget it, man-you don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of hitting her from here!"

A police officer says to a couple: "I'm sorry to tell you this, but your son set the school on fire".  They asked: “Arson?  The officer replies: “Yes, your son!”

---------------------------------

An explorer walked into a clearing and was surprised to see a pigmy standing beside a huge dead elephant. "Did you kill that?" he asked. The pigmy answered: "Yes". "How could a little bloke like you kill something as huge as that?"
"I killed it with my club" replied the pigmy.
"That's amazing," said the explorer. "How big's your club?"
The pigmy replied: "There's about 150 of us"

  5. Oh me too. To all the above. And many thanks to Richard!! You take such wonderful photos, and always (well, 98% of the time) have something of interest to say, and are honest and true and not superficial (100% of the time). Your efforts are valuable to others.
Your big lake out there is looking pretty friendly these days.

  6. My first thought was that Richard deserves a big hug. We ALL know what a big part your blog plays in making our world a better place. If he got that message through to you, hurrah! Of course we know that even more effort is required when Kelly is away. So glad she slept well and had a good trip. Hopefully seeing her family will give her good vibes. And maybe the appreciation for you and your blog in these comments will give you good vibes.

  7. Maybe you and Richard need to have a talk every week so that you will keep on blogging. Tonight's blog was great and the photos fantastic. Love your front yard garden and the privacy it gives. Happy to hear Kelly made it safely.

  9. The sentence that began "I'm going to put in a plug" gave me anxiety. As I continued reading I understand you enjoy bending a sentence to make it your own. You are brilliant. Here's hoping Kelly feels good on the entire trip.
