TO LONDON'S UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL AND BACK THIS MORNING

OLD MAN WINTER KEEPS HANGING ON WHILE SPRING STRUGGLES TO TAKE OVER
Up earlier and on the road with just me in the Jeep first thing this morning.  At 7:30 a.m. I picked up my previously injured friend (from an accident last Friday night) and we were off to London's University Hospital where a 9 am. appointment was waiting.  Dropped my friend off at the front door and headed over to the Masonville Mall parking lot to await a call.  Would a surgical decision be made or not?  If so I would be heading home alone.  My phone rang about an hour later and my friend said the doctors had decided not to do surgery and let the broken facial bones heal on their own.  Ten minutes after that phone call we were on our way back home with a stop at Lucan's Tim Hortons coffee shop for two carrot muffins to go.  Forty minutes later I dropped my friend off at home and then headed for home myself.  It was a good morning all the way around:))

A FEW PHOTOS AROUND HOME TODAY

Another sunny day with temps above freezing.  So nice to hear the drip-drip sounds of melting and I did hear a Spring songbird first thing this morning but I was unable to identify it.  Next week all temps are predicted to be well over 40F.  With snow only an inch deep on the ground, Pheebs and I were able to take our legs for a short but nice walk around the Park's pond.  Spotted the first Grackle of the year on our bird station late this afternoon.
I HOPE TO HAVE MYSELF A NICE BACKYARD CAMPFIRE GOING HERE SOON
I'M ANXIOUS TO GET IN AND GET THIS SHED CLEANED UP AND ORGANIZED
I WILL BE GLAD TO GET THIS SECOND SHED CLEANED UP AND ORGANIZED AS WELL

Hadn't taken any photos this morning so I slipped out around the yard this afternoon to see what I could find.  I am so anxious to get the Spring clean-up started I can hardly restrain myself.  I have always liked Spring clean-ups after winter's long months of inactivity.  It will soon feel good to be outside in Spring's fresh air getting my muscles all stiff and sore again.

GROANER'S CORNER:((  After being married for 25 years, a wife asked her husband to describe her.  He looked at her carefully, then said, 'You are A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K.'  'What does that mean?' she asked suspiciously.  He said, 'Adorable, Beautiful, Cute, Delightful, Elegant, Foxy, Gorgeous and Hot!'  She beamed at him happily and said: 'Oh, that's so lovely! But what about I, J and K?'  'I'm Just Kidding!' (The swelling in his eye is going down and the doctors are fairly optimistic they can repair the rest of the damage to his body).

---------------------------------

A wife asks her husband: "What do you like most in me, my pretty face or my sexy body?"  He looks at her from head to toe and replied: “I like your sense of humor!” (this poor husband is obviously recovering from his injuries as well)

  1. Al, you got a lot of stuff in your sheds! Nice birdhouses and I bet it won't be long until they will be occupied again. Only 10 days to go until the beginning of spring!!
