WITH IMPATIENCE BEING MY BIGGEST CHALLENGE

A FEW CHRISTMAS CARDS HAVE COME OUR WAY
A cold one this morning but at least most of our snow is gone.  It was a leisurely drive up to Goderich for Pheebs and I with a few of the usual stops along the way.  Nothing too exciting.

THERE WAS A BIT MORE SNOW UP  AROUND GODERICH

EVEN 'OLD LONESOME' WAS OUT AND ABOUT THIS MORNING
Home again, I spent some more time reading about videos and my Nikon CP900.  I never was what I would call a quick learner at the best of times and taking on new technical things in these Senior years is a true test of my tolerance with impatience being my biggest challenge.  I'm slowly beginning to get the hang of the basics and like anything else, it's the steady repetition that that might eventually win the day for me.  But, I sure do have quite a time keeping a lid on my frustrated self.  Below is a short 45-second test video of a few birds on our bird station this afternoon.  There is music with it if you care to listen.  I have no way in Blogger to check if this video will work before publishing it so I have my fingers crossed.  Okay, I checked the video online and it works:))

At the time of posting this tonight, we have a fair bit of snow coming down and it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas out there:))

SOMEBODY AT OUR HOUSE GOT NEW BOOTS THIS WINTER AND IT WASN'T ME
GROANER'S CORNER:(( Kathy began a job as an elementary school counselor and she was eager to help.  One day, during recess, Kathy noticed a young girl standing by herself on one side of the playing field while the rest of the kids were playing a game of soccer.  A while later, Kathy walked over to the young girl and offered, "Would you like me to be your friend?"  The girl looked at Kathy suspiciously, then said hesitantly, "Okay, I guess so..."  "Why are you standing here all alone?" asked Kathy.  "Because," the little girl said with great exasperation, "I'm the goalie!"

  3. "At least most of our snow is gone." Obviously a statement by a northerner.
Here is central TX is was 80 today. 87 tomorrow. That just seems weird. Well, at least you have benefited. Meanwhile, I immediately knew whose boots those were.

  4. Al, LOVE! the viedo! Wow. That's a Christmas present, real cardinals and all! Thanks a bunch.
Now, be careful. You'll spoil us; we'll always want more. Just like your always wonderful photos.
So neat to see such a normal, peaceful scene. Especially since, as Judith said, we're having shorts weather this week. Just isn't right!

  13. How fun to learn a different way to do what you love! Pretty gray house, love the gingerbread trim. Can't believe the snow is all gone, not for long I'm sure but weird to miss Christmas. Best wishes for a peaceful Christmas and 2022 to you three.
