Overnight rains thankfully brought temperatures down but left country roads muddy. Pheebs and I went for a walk anyway and aside from a few muddy paw prints in the Jeep afterward it was worth it just to get out and breath in some cool and refreshing morning air. Failing to convince myself we should follow up our walk with a Jeep ride, we turned around and went back home. Gloomy days have a habit of doing that to me sometimes.

'How did you know?' his mother asked. 'Daddy picked them up and looked underneath,' he replied. 'I think it's printed on the bottom.'
