PEERING CLOSELY AT MY EYELID, DR. ANJEMA SAID ........'PERFECT'

I LIKE THIS NEW GAZEBO ALONGSIDE GODERICH'S LAKESIDE BOARDWALK
Under gray sullen skies, Pheebs and I slipped up to Goderich this morning.  A coffee and harbor run, then a few things at Walmart and home again through an ever-increasing rain.

 BEACH CLEANING MACHINE
THIS PARKING METER IN THE DOG WALKING AREA IS ALREADY OUT OF ORDER
YUP, THAT'S MY McDONALDS COFFEE SITTING ON THE BIG MARBLE BOULDER
Had it not been for a 1 p.m. appointment with Doctor Anjema at his Bayfield Anjema Eye Institute location this morning I wouldn't have much to write about.  It was raining so hard when I got there I almost needed a flotation device to get across the parking lot.  Checked in with a lady outside holding a clipboard and she said there would be an hour wait.  Told her I lived in Bayfield and would come back in an hour.  No point in me sitting there taking up a parking space in an already jammed-up parking lot.  Without further ado, I hustled off home following my windshield wipers all the way.  Waited about 45 minutes, then returned to the eye clinic and was fortunate enough to find a parking space right away.  Ten minutes later the clipboard lady waved me over.  Still pouring like nuts and feeling very much like a soggy seventy six year old I dashed through the rain and dribbled myself into the building.  Ten minutes later Dr. Anjema was peering closely at my right eye and said my eyelid had healed perfectly from the minor Entropion surgery he had performed at his main location in Chatham Ontario on June 8th.  I chuckled when he said, 'wow, whoever did this eyelid procedure sure knew what he was doing'.  I like a Doctor with a sense of humor:))  He also said I was good to go and he'd see me again in 6 months.  I swam back across the parking lot to the Jeep and paddled my way home.

A CLOUDY OVERCAST DAY AT THE LAKE
I THINK THESE 2 GUYS JUST GOT TIRED OF WAITING FOR THE SUN TO COME OUT

Kelly's Son Ben, and his two young boys had rented a cottage at Deer Park Lodge for a couple days but their sunny beach time was cut short by today's rain.  They came over to the house shortly after 3 for a visit.  This rain is supposed to hang around for a few days so there was some talk between Ben and the boys about just packing it in and going home.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( Harvey's grandfather clock suddenly stops working right one day, so he loads it into his van and takes it to a clock repair shop. In the shop is a little old man who insists he is Swiss and has a heavy German accent. He asks Harvey, "Vat sims to be ze problem?"  Harvey says, "I'm not sure, but it doesn't go 'tick-tock-tick-tock' anymore. Now it just goes 'tick...tick...tick.'"  The old man says, "Mmm-Hm!" and steps behind the counter, where he rummages around a bit. He emerges with a huge flashlight and walks over to the grandfather clock. He turns the flashlight on and shines it directly into the clock's face. Then he says in a menacing voice, "Ve haf vays of making you tock!"

  1. Glad you have a perfect eyelid now. You could probably tell all by yourself.
I am envious of the rain, also of your being able to see such a big expanse of lovely blue water in the lake.

  2. May that meter at the dog park be permanently out of order. Shouldn't have to feed a meter to use the dog park. JMHO.
