HOW DO WE GET SO GOL-DARN LUCKY MOST ALL THE TIME

With Wednesday night's early evening sunshine pouring through one of our sunroom windows facing west, I pushed back from the computer desk and headed out the door with Pheebs right behind me.  We climbed into the Jeep and headed the mile or so into Bayfield.  The majority of my photos are most always taken during the morning hours between 8:30 and 11 a.m. with the Sun steadily rising in the East.  How refreshing it was to see a differently lit landscape in the evening hours with the Sun setting in the west.  The following photos were taken Wednesday night between 7:30 and 8 p.m.

A NICE SPRING EVENING ALONG BAYFIELD'S MAIN STREET
 BAYFIELD'S STREETS ARE VERY HOMEY

I AM SURPRISED THERE ARE NOT A FEW SAILBOATS AT ANCHOR HERE YET
FISHING BOATS RESTING UP BEFORE MORNING'S HARD WORK
GOLDEN IN THE EVENING SUN, PHEEBS KEEPS A CLOSE EYE ON ME WHILE I'M TAKING A FEW PHOTOS
With sunshine pouring through our east-facing window this morning I didn't need any more encouragement to get out the door.  Pheebs and I headed for the Hullett Marsh to take our legs for a walk.

STILL EARLY MORNING WATERS IN THE MARSH
ONE OF THREE MUSKRATS I SAW
 FLYING IN CLOSE UNISON
 LUSH SPRING GREENS
BURGEONING SPRING COLORS ON A DISTANT BANK

 MUSKRAT NUMBER TWO
Temps were in the mid 40's but no matter, it was just great to be out of the house surrounded by the sounds of Spring again.  All around us in the Marsh were the sounds of honking Canada Geese and as usual, we were the only humanoids there.  How do we get so gol-darn lucky most all the time.

 RED-WING BLACKBIRD
 MUSKRAT NUMBER THREE
Home again around 10:30 I hauled out our battery-powered lawnmower and mowed the little bit of grass we have here.  Whacked me some weeds too.  Really nice to see things greening up finally.

 SWALLOWS
Kelly's Mom is coming along okay and Kelly has been able to be a big help to her.  For all family members concerned, she got there just at the right time to be of the most help.

GROANER'S CORNER:((  At one point during a game, the coach said to one of his young players, "Do you understand what cooperation is? What a team is?"  The little boy nodded in the affirmative.  "Do you understand that what matters is whether we win together as a team?"  The little boy nodded yes.  "So," the coach continued, "when a strike is called, or you're out at first, you don't argue or curse or attack the umpire. Do you understand all that?"  Again the little boy nodded.  "Good," said the coach.  "Now go over there and explain it to your mother."

Dentist: "You need a crown."  Patient: "Finally, someone who understands me."
