I was reminded of a big blue Arizona sky as Pheebs and I rolled through our sunny countryside this morning. I also thought, 'If only'. In past years we would already be there rumbling along across the rough and tumble desert floors, up into and over the surrounding mountains and down the other side. Yes, I was feeling very homesick for the Great American Southwest today. If only, if only.
A FEW SPLASHES OF AUTUMN COLOR CAN STILL BE FOUND HERE AND THERE
Our travels took us to McTaggarts Cemetery somewhere northeast of Exeter Ontario. It's a hilltop cemetery and always a quiet place for a walk. So, for a walk through the scenic cemetery we did go.
NO AUTUMN COLORS LEFT ALONG THIS BUSH LINE
SOME OF THE PEOPLE IN THIS CEMETERY WERE BORN IN THE 1700'S
I WAS SURPRISED TO SEE CLOVER LIKE FLOWERS BLOOMING IN THE CEMETERY

How Many Dogs Does It Take To Screw In A Lightbulb::
Golden Retriever: The sun is shining, the day is young, we've got our whole lives ahead of us, and you're inside worrying about a stupid burned-out light bulb?Border Collie: Just one. And I'll replace any wiring that's not up to code.
Dachshund: I can't reach the stupid lamp!
Toy Poodle: I'll just blow in the Border collie's ear and he'll do it. By the time he finishes rewiring the house, my nails will be dry.
Rottweiler: Go Ahead! Make me!
Shi-tzu: Puh-leeze, dah-ling. Let the servants do it. . . .
Lab: Oh, me, me!!! Pleeeeeeze let me change the light bulb! Can I? Can I? Huh? Huh? Can I?
Malamute: Let the Border collie do it.. You can feed me while he's busy.
Cocker Spaniel: Why change it? I can still pee on the carpet in the dark.
Doberman Pinscher: While it's dark, I'm going to have a sleep on the couch.
Mastiff: Mastiffs are NOT afraid of the dark.
Hound Dog: ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Chihuahua: Yo quiero Taco Bulb.
Irish Wolfhound: Can somebody else do it? I've got a hangover.
Pointer: I see it, there it is, right there...
Greyhound: If it isn't moving, who cares?
Abraham lived to 102? Wow, I thought they died early many years ago.ReplyDelete
There's a small hilltop cemetary south of here, but the trees there are all 60+ feet tall spruce giving quite a dark mood.ReplyDelete
A lovely place you have let us see. Thank you.ReplyDelete
I feel your pain Al. No trip to Las Vegas and San Diego in Oct this year and no trip to Hawaii in Nov. Now no trip to Florida for Thanksgiving with family this year. The CCP messed up life with all of us with SARSII. They put a stop to all flights and trains in their country and made all international flights OK as long as they passed thru Wuhan.ReplyDelete
This will be a difficult winter for many of us. Still trying to wrap my head around that fact that we are grounded.ReplyDelete
