A DIFFERENT TRAIL IN THE MARSH AND MULTI-TASKING MY ENJOYABLE YARD WORK

Had to turn on our furnace this morning to ward off our outside cool 41F temperatures.  Reassuring to see sunshine pouring through our tall pine trees helping to eventually bring Monday's temps up into the low 70's before days end.
ANOTHER GOOD EXAMPLE SHOWING THE SOIL HISTORY IN OUR AREA

LILACS STILL BLOOMING
Dressed warmly with the Jeep's heater on and Pheebs window down we were off once again out into the tranquil countryside to breathe in it's fresh clean air and marvel at our calming pastoral scenery.
LAZY MORNING IN THE COUNTRYSIDE
'ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ'
BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW WE HAD THREE WAY COWS HERE IN OUR NECK OF THE WOODS
NOPE, THERE NOT COWS BUT THEY ARE IN THE SAME FIELD AS THE COWS
LESTER AND CHESTER
DOIN A LITTLE FANCY FOOTIN
'WHO ME, NUMBER THREE??'
Our wanderings took us over to the Hullett-Marsh and for a change of pace we picked a different trail.  Been quite a few years since I last walked in that section.  With temperatures quickly rising I wasn't long in doffing some of my warm clothes.  Beautiful blue skies overhead with a nice morning's breeze ruffling acres of lush green grass.  Lilacs still in bloom and no bugs in the air yet.  Just one of those mighty fine mornings and here we are at the first of June already.
WE ARE SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE THE HULLETT-MARSH NEARBY
AND THEY EVEN HAVE CORN GROWING IN THE MARSH
I'VE BEEN WALKING THE MARSH SINCE THE MIDDLE TO LATE EIGHTIES
I THINK BOOGALOO BUGGINS IS VERY FOCUSED ON SOMETHING
HEADING BACK TO THE JEEP
PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST VEHICLES I HAVE EVER HAD
Home again I surprised myself with an abundance of energy and had a great morning bouncing around between half a dozen yard projects.  Just the way it used to be not too many years ago.  Dug up and replanted hostas, roto-tilled a small area, and planted more grass seed after raking and rolling it.  Had both the lawnmower and whipper snipper going.  My wheelbarrow got in some overtime and I put another few miles on my shovel and two rakes.  Cleaned the birdbath, relocated a few more plants, and did some watering.  It's a great time of year and great weather for enjoyable yard work.
I MOVED THAT CLUMP OF HOSTAS TODAY THEN ROTO-TILLED THE AREA
ALL DONE AND SEEDED.....IF THIS KEEPS UP I'M GOING TO NEED A RIDING MOWER
NICE BLOOM ON A NEW ROSE BUSH WE JUST PLANTED A FEW DAYS AGO
It was 2 p.m. before I came in, hopped into the shower then headed for my recliner to re-charge.  Not a lot of energy left for an afternoon Pheebs walk but we did get out for a short spin around the pond.
A FEW FLOWERS IN BLOOM AROUND OUR YARD RIGHT NOW
I BELIEVE THESE FLOWERS TO BE AZALEAS

GROANER'S CORNER:(( On a recent flight I was on, this elderly woman kept peering out the window.  Since it was totally dark, all she could see was the blinking wing tip light.  Finally, she rang for the flight attendant.  "I'm sorry to bother you," she said, "but I think you should inform the pilot that his left-turn indicator is on and has been for some time."

What happened when they crossed a carrier pigeon with a Woodpecker?
The bird not only delivered the mail, but also knocked on the door.

“What do you think the glib surgeon said to me after he took off my leg above the knee?
'It won't be long now'.”
