TRYING OUT BLOGGER'S NEW FORMAT TONIGHT

SOME OF OUR COUNTRY ROADS CUT RIGHT THROUGH CEDAR FORESTS
It was another one of our routine semi-monthly invigorating coffee get-togethers for Richard and I this morning and we didn't miss a beat with our mind-challenging back and forth stimulating conversation.  Nothing like a couple old guys taking on the challenges of our downhill ever-changing world.  I think we are going to have to put in some serious overtime if we are going to save the Earth and all it's rapidly increasing woes this time:((
SO MUCH SALT ON OUR WINTER ROADS THIS YEAR EVEN OUR TULIPS ARE COMING UP RUSTY

Nice morning breeze under cloudy skies and lower temps.  Spackles of rain showers from time to time.  Humidity wasn't too bad as long as one moved slow and didn't over-do things. I mowed the grass as slowly as I could but still had to come in right after and clamber into the shower again.
OUR LILACS ARE IN BLOOM AND THEIR SWEET FRAGRANCE FILLS OUR FRONT YARD

I am trying out Blogger's new updated format tonight.  I might as well get used to it because after a few months the older format will be gone.  My fingers are crossed they have improved their present sites clumsy ways.  Guess I'll find out when I go to add photos later.
Update::  I had to revert back to the old Blogger format to do this post.  With Kelly's help I'll try the new format again tomorrow.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( You might be a Reneck if...
- You own a home that is mobile and 5 cars that aren't.
- You think the stock market has a fence around it.
- Your stereo speakers used to belong to the Moonlight Drive-in Theater.
- Your boat has not left the drive-way in 15 years.
- You read the Auto Trader with a highlight pen.
- Your entire family has ever sat around waiting for a call from the Governor to spare a loved one.
- You have the local taxidermist's number on speed dial.

Q: What runs around a field but never moves?
A: A fence

  1. OH NO, another new blogger format. Really??? I posted something from Open Live Writer just an hour or so and it went fine. I wonder what's going to happen if they take away the old format at blogger? why can't they leave well enough alone?

  3. I can almost smell your lilacs here in Oregon.
When I was blogging, I always entered all my pictures first Then wrote under each picture. I hope the new format won’t discourage you to the point you quit blogging. I look forward each day to your beautiful pictures and your writings.

  4. Add my name to those who wish Blogger would just leave well enough alone. And Blogger isn't the only one - it seems that there is constant change of old familiar programs, and you know it's just to keep their employees busy changing something.

  5. I, too, love your lilac picture. I especially enjoy seeing your flowers after ours are done. Your pictures are always something to look forward to. Ann M

  6. Al, I tried the new blogger today too, reverted back when it would not let me add a picture. After I did my blog post, I did a 'TEST' blog and when I copied the picture and pasted it in, it worked...but it just won't let me load it from a folder in my computer like the old format does. However, the new format does seem to have some good things...such as being able to change your picture size much like 'Open Live Writer' allows. Also allows for Tables and a few other things. Heck, it took me a few minutes to see just how to start a new post (orange plus sign in bottom right of screen).

    1. Yep, I had that same frustration at first trying to find how to start a new post. 'Removing' a photo was a problem as well until Kelly finally figured out to highlight the photo and simply press the keyboards 'Delete' button. Different way of doing it than before.

  7. Hello! Love your photography and adventures!
The new blogger sure was a bit startling to work with but I managed it. I feel like it is a cartoon layout.
I was able to load photos directly from my computer but the url's from Flickr didn't show so I had to redo it.
I think it will work out in the end and we will adjust.

  8. I actually sent a remark to Blogger saying the old was better then the new format. Hoping they listen.
Be Safe and Enjoy this nicer weather.

    It's about time.
