MORNING HAZE IN THE COUNTRYSIDE TOLD ME SOMETHING

I KNEW WHAT THIS HEAVY HAZE IN THE COLD MORNING AIR MEANT
Had hoped to take a few photos of Saturday night's full Moon with my Nikon CP900 but the weather had other ideas and despite a clear sky day we did not have a clear sky night. Morning's fiery sunrise was encouraging but within minutes overhead skies turned a pale gray as yet another cloud cover moved in and gloomed up the day.
OUR SUNRISE THIS MORNING WAS A BIG BALL OF FIRE ONLY 91.709 MILLION MILES AWAY
Brewed myself a coffee, nicely burnt up a piece of toast, loaded up the furry little Cutesy Patootsy, and we were off out into the snowy cold countryside.  I was immediately aware of a familiar gray slightly purplish haze in the air and that haze meant one thing.  Our temperatures were finally rising.  Slightly warmer air meeting colder snow on the ground.  At this time of year rising temperatures are almost reason enough for joyous celebrations even if we didn't get up to the freezing mark.  Managed to find me a few rural photos before finally setting us a course for home.
SNOWY COUNTRY ROADS
Well you know my daily winter routine well enough by now to know that outside of an afternoon walk with Pheebs I spent most of my time ensconced quite comfortably in our cozy sunroom watching the humorous circus antics of our front yard birds, bunnies, and squirrels.
BRIGHTLY COLORED POSTS FOR MARKING SNOWMOBILE TRAILS
It seems the latest rumors (Saturday) going around our Park about it's sale to the big Parkbridge company is that the deal has been squashed a second time.  For Kelly and I that would be Okay because we kinda like the Park the way it is.  Quiet, slow moving, and we're not buried under a mash of hard and fast rules.  And we know current fees, etc. will remain basically the same.  From reading about the Parkbridge Company we know our living costs here would rise if they took over plus there would of course be a huge disruption.  And I'm sure they would have a list of rules and regulations long enough to choke a Giraffe.  All and all it's still an unknown waiting game for we residents until some kind of official notice is either posted or not.  Likely not.  Only thing we Seniors can do is try to ring out as much excitement from all this as we can.  Getting to be a bit of a soap opera I'd say.  But at least it's a little bit of mild excitement and anticipation for us.  And you know we folks need all the excitement we can get around here just to keep our blood flowing and hearts pumping on these long cold boring winter days.
A ROADSIDE STOP
::An Archive Post::  January 23rd 2015 found the Bayfield Bunch in Utah jeeping around Canyonlands National Park. I tell ya folks the scenery never ends in the Great American Southwest and this day was just another one of so many great days we have spent over our 13 years of Snowbird travels.  It seems like I can go to our blog Archives and randomly click on any date of any year we have traveled and find ourselves surrounded by beautiful scenery.  Here's my post for the day.  Jeeping Around In Canyonlands Utah

  1. Quite white in your neck of the woods. Doesn't seem to bother Pheebs. Too bad we didn't get another great moonshot.

  2. As longtime park Residents would you not be Grandfathered in to avoid any drastic changes in your Fees? It should be similar to Rental Agreement.
It seems we follow your weather patterns even though we are further south.
Be Safe and Enjoy the warm up.

    It's about time.

  4. Hi Al,

Maybe you have some enterprising leaders in the park that organize a cooperative purchase. I know in the one I live in, we bought our park and turned it into a non-profit cooperative. Here in the US many states have laws that encourage park ownership by the residents. In particuliar this non-profit helps out many to do this: https://rocusa.org/
