BREAKFAST OUT AND HOPEFULLY OUR LAST OVERLY HOT DAY FOR AWHILE

OUR FRONT YARD SUNBURST LOCUST TREE
Breakfast at the Bayfield Berry Farm with our good friends Gayle and Richard.  All our breakfasts were free thanks to the generosity of our good friend and neighbor Monica:))))
PHEEBS AND I DRIVE THE SHORT DISTANCE HOME FROM BAYFIELD THIS MORNING
LOOKS LIKE THEY FINALLY GOT THE LID ON YOUR PLACE C & G
Short hop into and around Bayfield with Pheebs this morning then home to get a few outside things done before the day got too sticky for me.  A bit of weed whacking and that was about it.  Luckily we had a cloud cover until noon but soon as that Sun came out it was into the house with me.  Thankfully we have some cooler weather rolling in Thursday.  In fact it clouded over late afternoon and despite wandering storm cells coming in off Lake Huron they all missed us at the time of my publishing this tonight. Radar shows still more coming.  And how nice to check the 14 day forecast and see temps finally dropping into the 60's.
THIS BIRD TURNED TO STONE WHEN IT GLANCED OVER AT THE NEIGHBOR'S FEEDER
Who Am I? A Writer or a Blogger?  Came across this short article awhile back and found it interesting because I could identify with much of what the writer said.  I blog, therefore I write.
I ENJOY TRIMMING MY LITTLE PATHS AROUND THE HOUSE
A year ago at this time we had just scrapped our winter plans for a trip west out to Washington State then down the Pacific ocean coastline through Oregon to California.  Instead we opted for a trip to eastern Canada and a look around New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Cape Breton, and Nova Scotia.  We didn't plan it very well and the trip wasn't as good as we could have made it.  Despite that we did see and experience some good times along the way.  At the moment due to a few medical obstacles we can't plan a darn thing.  This winter is going to be a day to day, month by month kind of situation.  We may get away we may not but I do feel if there is any chance at all we can take off for somewhere we will.

  1. How did you get that background black with the yellow flower? Your photos are always inspirational.

    1. For that photo using my 300mm lens I made sure the bright sunlit flower had a dark background behind it and I intentionally underexposed the shot. Dark backgrounds are often heavily shaded areas behind the subject and that was the case in this photo.
