WELL IF IT WASN'T FOR DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENTS WE PROBABLY WOULDN'T GET OUT MUCH

GRAND BEND'S YACHT CLUB LIVE BEACH CAM CAUGHT THIS STORM CELL COMING IN ACROSS THE LAKE SHORTLY BEFORE 5 THIS AFTERNOON
It was another routine Jeep ride to Goderich and back this morning for Pheebs and I.  Really nice temps in the lower 50's.  Back home I spent some time around the yard snipping weeds and trimming bushes.  By noon the heat and humidity was too much and I retreated indoors for the rest of the day.

THIS OLD BARN AROUND THE CORNER FROM OUR PARK IS UNDERGOING A REBUILD AND I'M GLAD THE NEW OWNERS DECIDED TO DO THAT INSTEAD OF TEARING IT DOWN
Some may remember a couple of months ago when I put all new tires on the Jeep.  At the time I said I had a feeling we might be in for a busy Summer running around with medical appointments.  Good thing I got those new tires because between the two of us we've got 4 out of town appointments lined in the next 3 weeks.  In the morning Kelly heads to Goderich for an ultra sound.  Her London Doctors office called yesterday and they want her back to University Hospital on July 29th for a Doppler/Ultra Sound test.  Two days after that we are back in London again for another appointment for Kelly to talk things over with her Gastroenterology/Liver Doctor.  A week later I'll be on my way to the Stratford Hospital for a bone scan and an as of yet unscheduled Cat Scan. I have a feeling we'll both still be running to medical appointments come Fall and Winter as well.  Yep, it's a good thing I got those new tires on the Jeep.
THAT'S QUITE A ROOF CONFIGURATION
THIS SHOT PUTS THAT ROOF CONFIGURATION INTO PERSPECTIVE
I was touched by Croft's post this morning as he talks about coping after the loss of his dear wife Norma.  It has only been about four months but I think he is doing well in coming to grips with his grief and looking to the future with a positive attitude that will carry him far.  We met Croft a few years ago at the second Bloggerfest in Quartzsite Arizona.  Nice friendly fellow.
SUNRISE? SUNSET? NOPE, IT'S A REFLEXTION OF OUR SALT LAMP IN A MIRROR
GROANER'S CORNER:(( An Indian chief had three wives, each of whom was pregnant. The first gave birth to a boy. The chief was so elated he built her a teepee made of deer hide. A few days later, the second gave birth, also to a boy. The chief was very happy. He built her a teepee made of antelope hide. The third wife gave birth a few days later, but the chief kept the details a secret. He built this one a two story teepee, made out of a hippopotamus hide. The chief then challenged the tribe to guess what had occurred.  Many tried, unsuccessfully. Finally, one young brave declared that the third wife had given birth to twin boys.  "Correct," said the chief. "How did you figure it out?"  The warrior answered, "It's elementary. The value of the squaw of the hippopotamus is equal to the sons of the squaws of the other two hides."

The patient goes to the dentist and says, "I have yellow teeth, what should I do?"  The dentist replies, "Wear a brown tie."

  4. We seem to be doing a lot of running to the doctor and dentist also Al and Kelly. Mike will be having some skin cancer surgeries the end of July and my tooth is still not finished--so we run some more!
