HEAT AND HUMIDITY CUT OUR MORNING WALK SHORT

It was 9 a.m. and the heat was already oppressive.  A slight breeze felt like a dragon's breath upon me as the morning's Sun all but burned a hole through the back of my loose fitting shirt.  Pheebs and I were at the Hullett Marsh attempting a short walk but of course due to the hot air we didn't get far.  A few Dragonfly and flower photos and we had to beat a hasty retreat back to the cool confines of the Jeep whereupon we maxed out the A/C and headed for home.  Although it was a nice looking day it was not a nice feeling day for many folks including me. Just way too much heat and humidity in the air to make for a comfortable Saturday................
AN EARLY MORNING WHEAT FIELD
DRAGONFLY

Here we are nearly at the end of the first week in July and from talking to a few people I know I am not the only one who just can't believe how fast the time is going.  In less that that 8 weeks it will be September and school kids will be mere days away from going back to school.  Didn't they just get out a short time ago??  Only one more long week-end left before Labor Day.  Oh Geezzzzzz can Halloween be far away.  And don't you even mention Christmas or there's gonna be some mighty big trouble!!!!!

  1. The grain crops are doing really well this year. They are way ahead of where they were this time last year here in the Ottawa Valley.

  3. Love the dragonfly shots. I wonder if the cows are trying to stay cool but standing in the water. Artsy shots.
