A DARK BURGUNDAY VAN PICKS ME UP THIS MORNING AND AWAY WE GO

Not a breeze stirring first this morning.  Not even a whisper.  Heat warnings were out and by noon we had us the beginnings of a 3 day steam bath going on.
My good buddy Richard picked me up at 8:30 and we were off on another one of our local cross country coffee tours.  Kelly, on her Real Estate site this morning had seen a house for sale a few country miles northeast of Exeter Ontario so Richard and I after grabbing coffee and muffins at Exeter's McDonalds set off to have a look at it.  Nice cozy little place but with two neighbors close by on either side it was not something we would sell our house for.
WITH A DOABLE PRICE OF $69,500 IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN A SERIOUS CONSIDERATION IF IT WERE NOT FOR TWO OTHER HOUSES SO CLOSE ON EITHER SIDE....THIS WAS THE BACK END OF THE HOUSE

We continued dusting up a few more morning roads and in the process were once again back to our ever ongoing attempts to make some sense out of this ever maddening world we live in.  Sometimes we get lucky and are able to steady the Planets wobble for a fleeting second or two.  If only it would stay the way we figure it should.  We'll have another go at it in a couple weeks if not sooner.  With Richard being a cancer survivor we had a few additional things to talk about this morning as well.

MOST OF TONIGHT'S PHOTOS WERE TAKEN AROUND THE PARK'S POND EARLIER THIS EVENING

With the dastardly heat and humidity heavy upon us I didn't venture out of the house for the rest of the day until early evening to grab a few photos around the Park's pond.  Had to walk slow and not turn myself into a sticky sweat ball.  And they say it's gonna be a whole lot worse Saturday and Sunday.  Pheebs and I will have to be out the door early in the morning in hopes of avoiding the unhealthy weather.

GROANER'S CORNER:((  Things Mom Would Never Say::
"How on earth can you see the TV sitting so far back?"
"Yeah, I used to skip school a lot, too" "Just leave all the lights on ... it makes the house look more cheery"
"Let me smell that shirt -- Yeah, it's good for another week"
"Go ahead and keep that stray dog, honey. I'll be glad to feed and walk him every day" "Well, if Timmy's mom says it's OK, that's good enough for me."
"The curfew is just a general time to shoot for. It's not like I'm running a prison around here."
"I don't have a tissue with me ... just use your sleeve"
"Don't bother wearing a jacket - the wind-chill is bound to improve".

  1. What a nice you enjoyed with Richard .That country place looks interesting too bad the neighnhors are so close. Keeping cool in side is perfect for the hot days you do not enjoy.

  3. Really enjoyed the photo of the day lilies and the "lime light" hydrangea since the deer came into the yard and ate all my flowers off...they sure would have been pretty I did snap one photo. Need at least 5 acres to keep a nice boundary between neighbors.
