LONDON'S UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL FOR KELLY AND A RELAXING COUNTRY ROAD DRIVE FOR PHEEBS AND I

KELLY WAS ON A SPECIAL MISSION THIS MORNING
Under cloudy skies this morning we were on the road by 9:45 heading for London's University Hospital.  Dry roads all the way and we rolled into London's north end shortly before 10.  Kelly had a liver biopsy scheduled but before stopping at the hospital we went to the The Bag Lady Sandwich Shop.  Not to pick something up but to drop something off.  Kelly had noticed this little breakfast coffee shop place on Instagram quite awhile ago and took a liking to it.  Among other things she noticed the lady had a collection of 'poodle' artifacts in her shop.  A year ago or so Kelly had picked up a 'Poodle Lamp' at a Goderich Thrift store and thinking of The Bag Lady and her sandwich shop she decided to donate the lamp to the lady's collection.  This morning we delivered that donation:))
DESTINATION LONDON ONTARIO AND I THINK THAT IS UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL DEAD AHEAD

KELLY TOOK A FEW CELL PHONE PICS INSIDE AND PICKED UP A COFFEE AND MORNING GLORY MUFFIN FOR ME ON HER WAY OUT

IRIS'S AT THE BAG LADY'S PLACE
Dropped Kelly off at the hospital's front door shortly after 11.  Her appointment was for 11:30.  Didn't take Pheebs and I long to make fast tracks back out of town.  A couple miles northwest of London is a water garden place called The Bloomin Bog on Hyde Park Road.  Had never been there before but we found it anyway.  Picked up a few plants for our front yard pond plus some fish food.
HEADING INTO THE HOSPITAL FOR HER LIVER BIOPSY

I LIKE THIS LONG FARM LANE BUT IT WAS THE CHILD'S BICYCLE AWAITING THE RETURN OF IT'S OWNER FROM SCHOOL THAT CAUGHT MY ATTENTION

A FEW OLD BARNS ALONG THE WAY TODAY
From the 'Bloomin Bog' we headed south and grabbed the first country road going west.  After mashing about in London's city traffic how nice it was to be back out into the countryside again.  Love that fresh smelling slightly manure scented country air.  And how nice to be on a gravel road I'd never been on before seeing totally new scenery.  At about 20 mph we plodded steadily west for 30 miles before turning around, picking up a different road, and plodding our way back to London again.  In my life at this stage. I consider that time well spent.
IN CASE YOUR THINKING OF PUTTING IN A NEW FLOWER GARDEN AND JUST HAPPEN TO HAVE A SPARE TRACTOR TIRE LYING AROUND

WHAT THE HECK!!!!!!!

LOOKS LIKE SOMEBODY'S IN THE RIVER THERE

Back in London sometime after 1 p.m. we made our way to a quiet parking lot area at Masonville Mall and took ourselves for a couple walks and read my Kindle for awhile awaiting Kelly's call.  That call came shortly after 3 and we quickly zoomed the short distance over to the hospital and picked her up.  She said all went well and she felt Okay.  We didn't waste any time grabbing a couple coffees at McDonalds before heading on home.  A few spritzes of rain but nothing bothersome.  Always so nice to get home no matter where one has been or how long one has been away.
'AHHHHH THERE SHE IS':))

PHEEBS WAS PRETTY HAPPY TO SEE MOM

IT WAS A LONG DAY AND WE HAD A SLEEPY LITTLE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER ON THE WAY HOME
GROANER'S CORNER:((  A Dinner Blessing….. Ed, was strictly a ‘meat-and-potatoes' man. Over the years, he's learned to like more foods, but there are still two vegetables he won't eat. His family likes to tease him about it. One year at a holiday gathering, Ed got the last laugh when he gave this cute tongue-in-cheek blessing: Now we sit to eat what's here; we pray no green stuff will appear. No Brussels sprouts or any such and asparagus, Lord, would be too much. But give us meat that's white or red and potatoes, corn and lots of bread. Some good brown gravy wouldn't hurt and to top it off, some pie for dessert.

Son: "Dad, did you go to Church when you were little?" Dad: "Yes son, every single Sunday." Son: "I thought so. Bet it won't do me any good either."

  10. Saw that hospital entrance and didn't know whether to shudder (I almost died in there) or smile (I did survive after 5 months)! Hope Kelly's test works out well.
