COULDN'T REALLY SEE MUCH ABOUT WHERE WE WERE GOING IN THE FOG SO WE WENT ANYWAY

MISTY MORNING IN THE COUNTRYSIDE
With warmer air hitting colder lake water air we had us quite a thick fog going on this morning here along the shores of Lake Huron.  Of course that didn't stop Pheebs and I venturing off out into the shrouded countryside.  Not much traffic on a Sunday morning anyway.

DON'T WORRY DAD I KNOW WHERE WE ARE
Fog burned off by mid morning just as we got home.  With sunny skies upon us I hauled out my gardening tools and got myself busy in the front yard and I think for the first time this year I was actually able to slip myself into a short sleeve shirt.  About time I'd say.  Worked myself up a sweat and finally had to take a break and slip inside and park myself beside our sunroom fan for awhile.  As it turns out that break lasted for the rest of the afternoon.
FARM LANEWAYS
We have ordered some white clover from a seed supplier in Waterloo Ontario and those seeds should be here this coming week.  Been working on getting our front and back yard prepped for that.  With so many pine trees here we've had trouble over the years growing grass but with a number of trees down over the last few years and an abundance of sunlight finally making it's way in we are now able to grow more things.  Hence the clover so we'll see.  I've been doing a lot of raking trying to get rid of moss these past few days.  This clover is supposed to be hardier and great for tough growing areas like ours.  I've kinda neglected both our front and back yards over the last few years so I think it's about time for a sprucing up.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( Two guys were doing construction on a house. One of them who was nailing down siding would reach into his nail pouch, pull out a nail, and then either toss it over his shoulder or nail it into the siding. The other guy, figuring this was worth looking into, asked, "Why are you throwing those nails away?" The first guy explained, "If I pull a nail out of my pouch and it's pointed towards me, I throw it away 'cause it's defective. If it's pointed toward the house, then I nail it into the siding." The second guy was outraged. He yelled, "You moron! The nails pointed towards you aren't defective! They're for the other side of the house!"

  1. We planted clover at our last place and it grew great! Just don't plant it too thick or you'll be mowing every afternoon!

  2. Nice that the fog lifted for a bit and you got short sleeves on and some yard work done. It was a decent day.
