A mother was having a tea party on the lawn with her children. A neighbor said, "How can you find time for a tea party when you have three small kids? "She smileed and said, "They'll always remember our tea parties, but they'll never remember if their clothes were ironed or clean!"

There sure are a lot of animal and bird heads in that driftwood. Yep, I have a good imagination. Another great post, thanks for helping to make my day.
ReplyDeleteWow!
ReplyDeleteYou know, for someone whose mind is supposedly deteriorating with age as much as you keep saying it is, you have astonishing proficiency grappling with the complex technical demands of your cameras.
These are skills most much younger people can’t dream to master ever at all, let alone continue to show remarkable dexterity with while their decomposing brain is presumably turning into swiss cheese. ;-)
All I can say is, may the progress of the dreaded Swiss Cheese Disease forever continue to spare the hunk of your brain which lets your photographer’s talented eye so deftly capture all this wonderful eye candy for the readers of this blog.
And go right on misplacing those silly coffee cups, I say. As long as that’s the cranial real estate your SCD is impacting & not the part that lets you wrangle the f-stops & ISOs & whaddyacallits, I think we’re all in good shape, kiddo.
Your remembering Rod Ivers, the Roomba and Biscuit brought a smile to my face tonight. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteNever know what to expect in the way of photos when I click on your blog each evening, always a surprise. Loved the photo of Miss Pheebs in the Jeep and the driftwood photos were the unexpected.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Al.......... Thinking of Rod and the Rumba………… always a great laugh ..... Hope he is enjoying his reward and journey in paradise! He was special ! Hope Aunt Jean is in good health and tootling around Sarasota! My best always to Kelly, The Pheebs and yourself ……
ReplyDeleteLove the walks along the beach and all the amazing driftwood critters. Remembering Rod a very special guy we chatted with a few times in person and the Rumba story was hilarious.
ReplyDeleteJust a lovely post all around. I love all those chairs lined up here and there facing the beach. I am surprised that they stay there all winter. The driftwood shots are stunning.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this post very much Al, your sense of humor is still intact. I also agree with Leilani's comments. Keep writing and having fun . K~
