REFRESHING MY COBWEBBED WINTER BRAIN

A FEW SNOWY BUT SUNNY BACK YARD PHOTOS TO START OFF WITH
How nice to hear sounds of melting today as Monday's warming Sun tore determinedly into Sunday's snow.  A classic early Spring day with a fine weather tonic in the mix.
It was a typically routine morning with Pheebs and I up to Goderich complete with a coffee and carrot muffin for a cruise down around the harbor.   A stop at the Canadian Tire store to check on pond pumps.  For the first time I tried leaving my 15 year old pump running in our front yard frog pond this Winter but it froze up and burnt out.  Probably had something to do with the unusual record breaking cold.  Despite that the pond's three Goldfish happily survived.
COLD BUT NO MATTER......SKIES ARE BLUE AND SNOW COVERED ROADS ARE MELTING
ICICLES ALONG THE SHORELINE
WITH RECENT FREEZING TEMPERATURES NEW ICE HAS FORMED OFFSHORE
THREE DAYS AGO GODERICH HARBOR WAS ALMOST FREE OF ICE AND NOW IT'S ALL CHUNKED UP AGAIN
It was a pleasant day to resume my outside Spring clean-up concentrating on the reorganizing of our two garden sheds.  Spring is a time for setting things up for summer and is of course one of my favorite times of the year.  A time for re-newall, newness, and the refreshment of one's cobwebbed Winter brain.
CAUGHT THIS MOURNING DOVE NAPPING THIS AFTERNOON
'I WASN'T NAPPING'!!!!!!!!
YES A BIT BLURRY BUT THOUGHT IT WAS WORTH SHOWING ANYWAY
Knowing the ground to be too soft and muddy Pheebs and I didn't get out for an afternoon walk.  It will take a couple days for this snow to melt and grounds to dry out before we are once again on any of the areas forest trails.
ANOTHER LOT IN OUR PARK HAS BEEN CLEARED
Soon as our day's begin to warm up more we will get out and tackle the big post Winter clean-up on our Motorhome.  First the inside and as temperatures continue to climb and I am able to turn on our outside water I will begin the exterior.  I'm hoping this will be the last time I have to clean up that great big 37 foot Motorhome.
YES I WOULD DEFINITELY SAY IT'S OFFICALLY SPRING
GROANER'S CORNER:((  The efficiency expert concluded his lecture with a note of caution: "You don't want to try these techniques at home.""Why not?" asked somebody from the audience."I watched my wife's routine at breakfast for years," the expert explained. "She made lots of trips between the refrigerator, stove, table and cabinets, often carrying a single item at a time. One day I told her, 'Hon, why don't you try carrying several things at once?'""Did it save time?" the guy in the audience asked."Actually, yes", replied the expert. "It used to take her 20 minutes to make breakfast. Now I do it in seven."

- Two Eskimos were chatting. One said, “Where did your mother come from?”
“Alaska.”“Don’t bother, I’ll ask her myself!”

- My neighborhood barber just got arrested for selling drugs! I've been his customer for 4 years, but I had no idea he was a barber.

  2. We had a sweet little dove hiding from the snowstorm in our glassed in front porch. He fed on the garbage in the bin. Hubs left the door cracked open so he get out and get back to cleaning up the birdseed scattered under the side deck.
