Looking back at our RV Snow Bird winter travels over the past 13 years I have a few thoughts, a few regrets, and maybe a touch of advice. In my opinion the sooner one can begin their RV travels the better. Looking back over my life I see it was around the age of 40 that I remember as being the best time of my life both mentally and physically. Wished I could have begun my RV travels at that period of time and my advice to anyone is, if you are financially stable and have the urge to experience the RV lifestyle the sooner you can get yourself on the road the better. Full timing or Snow Birding doesn't matter, just get out there. On average the younger you are the more adventuress you probably will be and the more able to physically and mentally enjoy all the challenges and pleasures RVing has to offer. No matter if you are a Full-timer or a Snow Birder your younger attributes will serve you well especially if you are an active outdoors person. Hiking, biking, etc. For Kelly and I my biggest regret is that we couldn't have started our RV adventures together years before we did at an earlier age.......................

I think your comments apply to a lot of activities. If there's something you want to do in life, do before you turn 50! In my case it was a few northern canoe trips.ReplyDelete
You are so right, I have told so many people over the years the sooner the better, We too have enjoyed over 13 years fulltime and sure wish we could have started much sooner, Amazing how the years fly by and we are getting too old too soon. But sure glad that we have been able to enjoy this amazing lifestyle as long as we have. hopefully a few more years yet, god willing and our health holds up.ReplyDelete
Ve git too soon Oldt and too late Schmart!ReplyDelete
100% agree! Go before your travel health premiums are greater than the fuel bill.ReplyDelete
I agree also. You never know what you can be dealt in life, so do it while you can and with the one you love.ReplyDelete
Your statement is so true.Delete
