WITH TALL SAGUAROS ALL AROUND WE ARE BOONDOCKED SOMEWHERE OUT HERE UNDER A MILLION TWINKLING STARS

In the shadow of Vulture Peak west of Wickenburg Arizona we spent a relatively quiet Saturday night despite a mild westerly wind pestering one of our awnings and interrupting Kelly's sleep.  We have lots of places to go as we slip around touching base with a bunch of pleasant old memories.  We'll check out our Congress house and slide out through the desert there and re-visit the House/Indian Rock area where we always liked to go jeeping.  Maybe rumble up the old Stage Coach Road through Stanton to Yarnell then come tumbling back down the Yarnell Hill.  So many memories for us in this area after owning our house in Congress for nearly 5 years.  For sure we'll be in Wickenburg and maybe out Constellation and Blue Tank Roads where Pheebs and I sometimes took our morning Jeep rides.  Yes, we are indeed here for a trip down memory lane.

UPDATE
:  We have since left the  busy Vulture Peak parking area where they allow RV stays and found a nice quiet secluded spot further out in the boonies among tall stately Saguaros, howling Coyotes, and soft whispering winds.  We are the only ones here....

GROANER'S CORNER:((  The other day, Louise and I got into some petty argument. (I say it was petty. She would have said it was Armageddon.) As is our nature, neither of us would admit the possibility that we might be in error. To her credit, Louise finally said, 'Look. I'll tell you what. I'll admit I'm wrong if you admit I was right. 'Fine'  I said. She took a deep breath, looked me in the eye and said, 'I'm wrong.'
I grinned and replied, 'You're right.'

  1. We like that area. Last time I was there I stopped in to see John Wells at the Field Lab. He has been blogging for quite awhile. That was quite awhile ago.
