ONCE AGAIN IT WAS PHEEBS WHO DRAGGED ME OUT OF MY RECLINER AND HAULED ME OUT THE DOOR

LOOK CLOSELY AT THIS PHOTO, WHAT DO YOU SEE??  I TOOK THIS PICTURE OF OUR TELEVISION SCREEN SHOWING FANS SITTING IN THE STANDS OF CANADA’S  VERY SNOWY GRAY CUP FOOTBALL GAME IN OTTAWA THIS PAST SUNDAY

It was well after 9 a.m. and I was still in my PJ’s slumped in my recliner.  Outside my window it was dull and gray and inside my head it was about the same.  Had the TV going with a west coast travelogue on.  Had no intentions of going outside……until I had a little black dog nudging the side of my recliner then jumping up on my lap with tail wagging and big brown eyes staring right straight into my mine.  Twenty minutes later we were rolling out the driveway about the same time we sometimes are rolling in the driveway.  And it was raining.  And it continued to rain for hours.

IN A RECENTLY HARVESTED FAR OFF CORNFIELD I SAW SOMETHING ODD AS I WAS PASSINB BY. … SOMETHING WAS STICKING UP AND LOOKED OUT OF PLACE.  COULD SEE GEESE IN THE FIELD AS WELL…CURIOSITY GETTING THE BETTER OF ME I STOPPED AND TOOK A COUPLE TELEPHOTO SHOTS….THOSE UNUSUAL OBJECTS WERE HUNTERS AND THOSE CANADA GEESE WERE DECOYS….I FELT LIKE BLOWING MY HORN AND WAVING MY ARMS IF ANY GEESE CAME FLYING IN BUT I KNEW  WITH THE ADDED WEIGHT OF LEAD BUCKSHOT TO THE JEEP AND MY BACKSIDE IT WOULD AFFECT THE JEEP’S GAS MILEAGE SO I SLOWLY MOVED ON

A RARE SUNSPLASH ON A GOLDEN CORN FIELD

Best part of today was knowing it was the last day of November and for me the most depressing month of the year in this climate was only hours away from being totally behind me.  That thought alone sustained me through the entire day.  Slumped in my recliner earlier this morning I was determined not to write a post tonight…...and yet here I am again.  It must have been that sustained thought.

Never took a single photo today but Pheebs and I did manage a coffee and muffin at McDonalds and our customary swing down around the harbor.  Due to the pouring rain we never got out of the Jeep and an hour after we had left home we were back again.  Tonight’s photos were taken Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

WITH THE BLACK SQUIRRELS AROUND I’M SURPRISED WE STILL HAVE ANY RED BERRIES LEFT IN THIS TREE

Despite what some RV’ers might lead you to believe, RVing is not always ‘wonderful’.  Check out what happened to Ivan recently and he does issue a ‘brown tsunami warning’ along with his post, Back To Borrego.

Amazingly enough this afternoon I was able to gather and persuade enough  of my brain cells to group together long enough to help me restore my photo albums to the sidebar of this blog.  You can find those albums under the title ‘Photo Albums’ near the top of my blog’s right hand column.  I’m now thinking I should gather all my Amish-Mennonite photos over the years together in an album as well.  And then there’s all my bird photos and flowers, and sunrises and sunsets, and southwest scenics and southern Ontario’s rural farm lands and, and, and……..OMG, I’m tired already just thinking about it.  Time to go take myself a snooze.

GROANER’S CORNER:((   A guy goes to the psychiatrist.  "Doctor," says the guy, "I feel as if I'm many different people with totally different personalities!"  "Do you think I need help?"  "Can you help me?"  "Am I doing the right thing seeing a psychiatrist?"  "Whoah!" says the doc. "Please, one person at a time."

  1. I'm glad November is over too. Came down with a cold and slept half the afternoon.

  2. I've sort of enjoyed November even though it's been cold for this part of California.

  3. I have those same feelings of taking a day off from blogging at times recently. Then I find myself in the same routine, writing right after our hound walk and post a blog. It seems like my real days don't start until after all that is finished. So I know what you mean. We don't get many geese here but when we do, Sadie seems to think the stuff they leave behind is great to roll in. Long live the Canadian Geese, they are beautiful.
