‘KINGS ON A LEDGE’ - I THINK THEY HAVE A GREAT SOUND

DSC_6913
Kept my fingers tightly crossed all night in the hopes of seeing sunlight first thing this morning but it was not to be and we spent yet another day under mostly cloudy skies.  A few afternoon sun splashes but that was all.  Temps had also dropped back into the mid 40’s for the day and that made for a cold wind.

Undaunted and despite the gloomy morning Pheebs and I headed out anyway and made the best of it.  Cranked up some tunes, fired up the heater and we were good to go.  Managed to scrape together a few photos along the way and that was about it.  Passed through the towns of Clinton, Exeter, and Varna as well as a little place called Egmondville.

I have about 65 area barn block quilt photos now but still have not been able to figure out how to get them into a photo album and onto my blogsite.  Seems to be some kind of problem between Google Photos and Blogger.  Wondering if anyone out there knows how it can be done…….if it can be done.

My son Sean and another musician by the name of Tony Lind (guitarist) have teamed up calling themselves ‘Kings On A Ledge’ and recently recorded two new songs.  I listened to them today and thought they were both excellent.  The two songs ‘Waking hours’ and ‘The Returned’ can be heard here, Kings On A Ledge.  Sean does the vocals, production and keyboards as well as writes the songs.   I think they have a great sound……………….

GROANER’S CORNER:((  Patient 1: “Why did you run away from the operation table?” Patient 2: “The nurse was repeatedly saying ‘don’t get nervous’, ‘don’t be afraid’, ‘be strong’, ‘this is a small operation only’, things like that.”  Patient 1: “So what was wrong in that? Why were you so afraid?”  Patient 2: “She was talking to the surgeon!”

  2. The barn quilts are always fascinating, wish they would catch
on here. Is it something that goes back years and years ago?

  3. Think I read somewhere it was two ladies in Ohio who got the ball rolling on barn quilts a few years ago.

  6. Really enjoyed the music, nicely done. If I do the video thing I talked about in last nights blog I may ask permission to use that, its a nice 'smooth' sound if that makes any sense.

  7. Al ... check your email. I sent what I think is the way to move your folder from Google Photos to your blog.

Sorry to say ... I am still not a fan of the barn quilts. To me they take away the beauty of an older barn.

  9. I'm not too much into Barn Quilt's but they do look very nice! I listened to the music from your son and his friend I seems to grow on you. Do they have more albums and recordings?
