‘OMG’ AND ‘HOLY SMOKES’ WE GOT US MORE COMPANY COMING

A MORNING WALK WITH PHEEBS AND GRAMMA DSC_0006DSC_0008NoteThree Blind Mice, Three Blind Mice”Note ...... These were the very first words we heard from a tiny tot singing this morning around 6:30.  it was little Ella of course but how could we possibly hear her when she was 3 rooms and 2 closed doors away at the far end of our unit.  And we could see her singing as well but how could that be??  There are a lot of great things about modern technology and we experienced one of those things this morning.  In our recently renovated bedroom where Ella was sleeping a small camera sat atop a lamp monitoring her.  At the other end of the signals that camera sent out sat Kelly in our living room with a Uniden device about the size of a cell phone.  On that monitor screen we could see Ella sitting up and hear her singing her Three Blind Mice song.  What a fine example of how modern technology can be used in a positive way.  The Uniden device belongs to Ella's Mom and Dad of course and I think it was a wise investment for them or anyone else with young children.

The pitter pattering sound we heard running down the hall first thing this morning was not the sound of little feet, it was the sound of doggy paws racing the other way to see little Ella.  Morning doggy hugs and little girl giggles.  A nice way for all of us to start our day:))

Took everyone awhile to get organized but by 10 we were all sitting down to breakfast at the Bayfield Berry Farm.  Second time in less than a week for Kelly and I.  Great breakfast again and we all waddled out rubbing our protruding tummies and moaning a lot.DSC_0002-002
YEP HERE WE ARE AT THE BAYFIELD BERRY FARM AGAIN

DSC_0004-002 <<< PANCAKES, BACON AND EGGS AND LOTS MORE Waaaaay too hot again today so my outside time was limited.  Did a bit of watering and spent some time with Ella out around our frog pond looking for frogs.  Rebecca, Ricardo, and Ella again headed for the beach over at Deer Park Lodge while Kelly and I hung out in the coolness of our house. DSC_0010 IMG_0347 IMG_0349 REBECCA MAKES UP SOME HAM SANDWICHES FOR THE BEACH AND OF COURSE PHEEBS IS THINKING SHE IS NEEDING A HAM SANDWICH AS WELL Kelly's oldest twin daughter Sabra sent a text message saying husband Dereck and their 2 boys Kienan & Langdon had decided at the last minute this morning to come on up to Bayfield for a couple days and would be arriving in a few hours.  They booked a room at Bayfield's Ashwood Inn which is also now owned by the owners of Deer Park Lodge across the road.  Although very tired Kelly changed her mind about resting, donned a floppy hat, some loose fitting cool beach attire and headed off for the Sun drenched hot sandy beach to meet up with Sabra, Rebecca, Derek, Ricardo, Ella, Keenan and Langdon.  I don't know how she does it sometimes but she just does it.  No hot beach for me so I decided to put myself into maximum power nap mode to top up my drained energy levels but I might as well have tried to pour water up hill.   And somewhere in the mix I remembered we have more company coming on the week-end as well.  ‘OMG’ has anyone out there got a quiet secluded spot for an old Grouch and his wonder dog for a couple days. DSC_0013DSC_0016DSC_0006-001 Back from the beach around 5 Rebecca, Ricardo and little Emma packed up all their stuff, had some ice cream and pecan pie, loaded themselves up and headed themselves back to Guelph Ontario shortly after 6.  Ricardo has to be at work in Toronto early Tuesday morning.  We really enjoyed having them here for a few days.  Down to earth easy to talk to people and of course Ella is always a joy to have around with her big friendly winning personality.  What a cutsy patootsy treat that little Gal is……….:))DSC_0003 JUST ABOUT READY TO GO DSC_0001
EVERYTHING IS IN THERE EXCEPT ELLA’S ‘BLACKBERRY’ BUT LUCKILY THEY REMEMBERED IT AT THE LAST SECOND

ELLA CHANGED HER MIND ABOUT GOING HOME AND SAID “NOPE, I’M NOT GOING HOME WITH MOM AND DAD I’M GOING RVING WITH GRAMMA. AL, AHD PHEEBS

Y’ALL COME BACK NOW YA HEAR……………….:)) Pheebs and I are so totally needing some quiet country time and I'm hoping we can get out first thing in the cool morning air to once again enjoy Mother Natures natural surroundings.  It seems the older I get the more I need my quiet times.  And I will try to scare me up some new photos.  I know all these family photos I have been taking and including in my posts these last few days aren’t everybody's cup of tea of course but I do know Kelly and her family members are enjoying them and I’m happy to be in a position to capture a lot of those special memories for them…………:)) DSC_0007 “PEEK-A-BOO I SEE YOU ELLA” GROANER'S CORNER:(( A man was forced to take a day off from work to appear for a minor traffic summons. He grew increasingly restless as he waited hour after endless hour for his case to be heard. When his name was called late in the afternoon, he stood before the judge, only to hear that court would be adjourned for the next day and he would have to return the next day. "What for?" he snapped at the judge. His honor, equally irked by a tedious day and sharp query roared, "Twenty dollars contempt of court. That's why!" Then, noticing the man checking his wallet, the judge relented. "That's all right. You don't have to pay now." The young man replied, "I'm just seeing if I have enough money for two more words." ----------------- After the church service a little boy told the pastor, "When I grow up, I'm going to give you some money." "Well, thank you," the pastor replied, "but why?"   "Because my daddy says you're one of the poorest preachers we've ever had." ---------------- Q: How many rednecks does take to eat a possum? A: Three. One to eat it and two to look out for cars.
