THIS LITTLE SMART CAR BROUGHT IT’S MOM AND DAD TO THE BEACH TODAY

My normal morning routine is to be dressed and out the door doing something or going somewhere by 7:30 a.m.  It was after 8 and there I was still in my pajamas and still in my recliner.  Not good and I can't remember the last time I ever got my day started so late.

ROOF TRUSSES HAVE ARRIVED FOR A NEW HOUSE ON PORTAL HILL LINE

DSC_0024

Wednesday night rains had left us with a Thursday morning gray overcast.  Temperatures were already 72, air was dead calm and the humidity had already turned brutal.  What to do what to do.  It was pointless to work on my front yard project, couldn't seem to get interested in a Pheebers Jeep ride and the thought of sitting around in the house in the house was well, unthinkable.  Best of the 3 options of course was a Jeep ride so when I asked Pheebs what she thought we should do the obvious answer was immediately apparent and off we went.   With Libby's windows down the morning air felt good.

Snagged us a Burrito at McDonalds and cruised ourselves down to Goderich's south harbor.  Short walk by the water and we slowly headed for home.

NOTICE ANYTHING AMISS IN THIS PHOTO??  I WAS JUST PULLING AWAY FROM THE DOG WALKING AREA WHEN I NOTICED IT

Stopped to check out a walking area in Goderich's south end that I had heard about but had never checked out before.  Due to the heavy humidity and mosquitos we only ventured along the path far enough to take a few quick photos before retreating back to the Jeep.  Looked like a great well maintained trail so we will definitely be back when cooler weather is once again upon us.

Kelly’s youngest son Ben with his wife Bri and their two boys Darion and Kai are spending a couple days at Deer Park Lodge here in Bayfield on the shores of Lake Huron.  Long time readers may remember Kelly worked at Deer Park for 10 years spending most of those years as manager.  We slipped over to see Ben, Bri and the boys around supper time tonight and will be having breakfast with them in the morning.  I’m including a bunch of photos here for members of Kelly’s family in various locations around the land such as Vancouver BC, Cambridge and Guelph Ontario plus Spencerport and Webster NY along with Clearwater Florida.  It’s much easier for family members to see the photos here rather than trying to send pics by email here and there etc.

With company coming for the week-end we spent a bit of time in the Motorhome getting things cleaned up and organized.  Slides out, awning down, etc.  Not sure if it will be the company or Kelly and I staying in the rig yet but I'm sure we'll figure that out over the next couple days.  It's Kelly's youngest daughter Rebecca and husband Ricardo along with their daughter little 'cutesy patootsy' Ella coming for a couple days.  They will be here Saturday morning.
