MY SUNDAY CATCH UP POST

HOW NICE TO HAVE SUCH A GREAT SETTING TO WORK IN AT OUR NEIGHBOR'S PLACE

This is my Sunday post which will mainly be a photos post simply because I really didn’t do anything Sunday except for putting in a couple morning hours at the neighbor’s place behind us working on his property clean-up.

HAD ME SOME MIGHTY FINE HELP AGAIN THIS MORNING

I was reminded tonight of my early blogging days when commenter Martha said in part, "It seems like so many bloggers are quitting”.   Of course that set me to thinking of my early blogging days & all the great fellow Bloggers I remember from back then & how many are now gone.  Some just kind of slowly faded away while others wrote final blog farewells.  Some unfortunately passed on while a few others just kind of abruptly ended their blogs without further adieu.  My mind does not serve me well enough to remember everyone from those early days but I do remember having a feeling of ‘family’ with these folks.   Most of us were not only RV Newbies back then but we were also new to this new phenomena called Blogging.  Blogging??  What the heck was that.   Over time we finally did end up meeting some of those early RV Bloggers too.  I look back on those early days with much fondness now & amazingly enough we still have a few of those long ago fellow Bloggers as readers.  You guys are made of some pretty darn tough stuff………………………..:))
MY PORTABLE TOOL WAGON

I TRIMMED THIS PALO VERDE UP A YEAR AGO & NOW I CAN WALK UNDERNEATH IT
THIS IS ONE OF 6 PILES OF BRUSH I HAVE ON THE GO AT THE MOMENT
BEFORE I TRIMMED UP THIS PALO VERDE A COUPLE DAYS AGO THE HOUSE WAS NOT VISIBLE FROM THIS VIEW POINT
THIS PALO VERDE'S BRANCHES WERE UP AGAINST THE BACK OF THE HOUSE & ONE COULDN'T WALK BETWEEN THE HOUSE & TREE
I wrote my first post back in 06 on Microsoft’s short lived blog program called My Space.  I wrote most every day that first Snow Bird winter but those posts on My Space were never really seen by anyone.  It was a different time back then.  Wasn’t until September of 07 that I found Blogger & slowly began writing a few more posts here & there.  I did post most every day while we traveled that 07/08 winter but only wrote a few posts now & again through the summer of 08 & it wasn’t until December of that year that I kicked the blog into high gear & became a daily Blogger........Again, many thanks to you folks for all your kind words these past few days:))

STILL A NICE TOUCH OF AUTUMN GOING ON HERE

If you missed my Saturday post it is here...............WHOPPERED IN WICKENBURG

GROANERS CORNER:(( One day at the entrance to heaven, St. Peter saw a New York street gang.
walk up to the Pearly Gates. This being a first, St. Peter ran to God and said, "God,
there are some evil, thieving New Yorkers at the Pearly Gates. What do I do?".
God replied, "Just do what you normally do with that type. Re-direct them down to hell."
St. Peter went back to carry out the order and all of a sudden he comes running back yelling "God, God, they're gone, they're gone!"
"Who, the New Yorkers?".
"No, the Pearly Gates."

  3. Did some research for all of you "Live Writer" folks this morning. It seems that the programmers at the open source project are working on the problem and the connection between Live Writer and Blogger should be working "soon".

Now, what "soon" means is anybody's guess. In the meantime, thanks for working your way through it...where there's a will, there's a way!

  4. We only met you two once and I was so nervous and anxious I think I must have bored you two to death. I always watch for your posts Al I love your photos and the pictures especially. I am a daily follower and a fan. I would be very lost without my daily reading of the Bayfield Bunch. Hope to see you and have a much nicer visit maybe next year. Kathy & Rick Rousseau It's about time.

    1. And here I thought I was the only one who ever got nervous meeting new people. Nice to know I'm not alone & I sure don't remember you boring us. Keep in mind I am not what might be considered a good 'conversationalist'.

    3. Talk about being nervous when meeting new people. When Anne and I met you last year when you passed through Winkler MB I am sure I was the most nervous of all four of us. Don't remember a thing that we may have talked about but Im sure it was all good.

Love your photos and look forward to reading your daily blog.

  5. My husband and I spent several weeks in the Wickenburg area 2 years ago. That was our first snowbird experience. We loved the area and would be back if we could. Unfortunately, due to health issues it appears that may be our only snowbird trip. Your blog is the first I read every night. I am very happy that you chose to continue. I am keeping notes on your travels and should the opportunity arise that we are able to go back we will have a lot more exploring to do. Thanks.

  7. Thank you, Al, for your blog. Over the years I have been a daily reader. My wife and I full-timed for almost 10 years, but finally gave it up and settled in texas. I blogged during our travels and stopped when we stopped.

I still read yours and several others. Though we have never met, you have made The Bayfield Bunch a part of our lives. Keep on blogging! Again, thanks.

  9. Loving that the pics are back!! I have enjoyed your blog for several years and can't imagine life without it. I find I get used to things being a certain way and have a hard time adjusting to the changes even though some changes eventually turn out to be a good thing. I find myself being less 'flexible" about these changes against my will as I get older. I hope that many of the bloggers reconsider, it would be like losing a crew of friends which is a big deal to those of us who are less sociable. Thanks for hanging in there!
