ENERGY BURST DAY 2…..WHAT THE BIG DARN HECK IS GOING ON??

DSC_0012

INTENTLY WATCHING A GRASSHOPPER

Looks like I shouldn't be pressing Google buttons & clicking on stuff I don't understand. I've been banging around in that Google+ stuff again this time trying to get a handle on the photo side of the program. I messed up my blog's comment section somehow & I saw some photos added to Google+ that I did not add.  Now that really bugs me!!  This was probably my 4th or 5th attempt to get a handle on Google+ stuff & again I came away in a confused state of angst. I was also trying to figure out how to drop my daily posts in Google+ but didn't get that one figured out either. I did manage to re-trace my steps & un-check a button in Blogger's dashboard so comments may appear at the end of my posts again & are not lost in the great Google+ maze somewhere. I may have gained a slight understanding into the photo side of things, but only slight & I still have no idea what all this Google+ stuff is supposed to be. And I don't like the fact the great Google Monster has & still is reaching it's long controlling tentacles into more & more of people's on-line lives.  Guess it’s the same complaint I hear a lot of people have with Facebook too.   I get the feeling Google is saying to me, 'it's our way or the highway Buster'!! At least that is the way it seems to me.................... Thanks for the email Tom:))

STILL WORKING ON BUILDING THE CONCRETE FOUNDATION UNDER THE OLD CPR STATION/NEW RESTAURANT

By Golly, I had myself another great spurt of energy today. Right after our morning walk I fired up my wheelbarrow & went around loading up about two thirds of our summer lawn ornaments & putting them away in one of our sheds. Following that Pheebs & I hit the road for Goderich & took care of a few errands. Quick stop at the medical center & then took Pheebs down to the beach for a walk. Back home, hauled out the hose, a bucket of foamy Turtle wax water & washed the Jeep. Vacuumed the interior & sucked up enough muffin crumbs to bake a cake. While I had the hose & bucket out I washed the Motorcycle as well & took it for a spin to blow it dry. Aw what the heck, might as well wash Kelly's car too. Hey, I had the bucket & hose out anyway right. So where's all this energy coming from? Cooler temperatures maybe, no humidity, the fact Autumn is upon us, maybe knowing we will be rolling out in less than a month. Or maybe something else............ If my energy levels stay consistently high over the next few weeks I may tell you what I think might just be responsible for those levels coming up.  These last 2 days reminded me a whole lot of myself right up until just a few years ago.  Days when I had half a dozen little projects on the go all at once & just merrily bounced my way along from one to the other.  Sure would be a happy guy if I could get my old self back again.  We’ll see what happens………………………:))

YEP, WE GOT EVERYTHING JUST A SPARKLIN AROUND HERE NOW:))
Mark over at BOX CANYON BLOG finished up his solar panel installation a few days ago & has photos of his set up. I am always in envy of people who can do a lot of their own mechanical things like that. I almost successfully changed a light bulb once.

A BIG PHEEBER SMOOCH FOR MOM

We think the tree cutter is coming with the big boom arm machine in the morning to take down a couple tall pines close to the house in our back yard.  I have a feeling this is going to be a nail biter because one of the pine trees is leaning towards the house.  I’ll be here to help wherever I can but our Jeep will be at the BAYFIELD GARAGE for the morning.  Oil change, tire rotation, undercoating, brakes check, etc. etc.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( Friend: "I suppose you carry a memento of some sort in that locket of yours?"
Woman: "Yes, it's a lock of my husband's hair."
Friend: "But your husband is still alive."
Woman: "I know, but his hair is gone."

  4. Wow...great job on the vehicles. That is a lot of arm movement and bending over. I felt the same last month when I wanted to only wash my old pickup but then did the Mini Cooper and then said what the heck...might was well as do the H3 Hummer while I am wet and have everything here. It then proceeded to rain two days later.

Google +...don't like it. I am computer literate but I only joined it because after restarting my blog a few months ago, the Google Friends Follower wouldn't load because my deleted domain is locked in that program.

I agree, little by little the Google nails go a little bit deeper...just like FaceBook.

  5. Glad Russ and I are not the only ones who are not big "do-it- your-selfers." I see some of the mods others make to their rigs and I feel bad sometimes - but we did manage to change out the aerator on the bathroom faucet! Great picture of Pheebs giving Mom a kiss. And if you have any left over energy, I'll take a pound or two. Just send it in the mail.

  7. Just showed your blog to Kathy and she wants me to take Great Blue Heron pictures this winter. Great job of showing the flight sequence. Your pics are better than mine, but I am hot on your tail. Thanks for all the pointers. Thank You!

  8. Me too...I was confused last night! Thought it was my IPad acting up.

A Pheebs kiss! I love our puppy kisses!

Wish we had clean and shiny vehicles...our MH is so dirty!

  9. Yeah, I wondered about the ability to comment as well. Although I have succumbed to the "my way" of Google Plus since the "highway" isn't nearly as much fun without the internet. seems as thought google is intent of ruling the world and I'm just too old to fight them. Sure wish I could grab some of that energy you have, Al!

  11. I have been playing with G+ for w while and getting to understand it a bit more.
Two things I like about is much more secure than facebook, and when I reply to a comment on my blog that person gets an email.
But then I always like change in technology, like to try out all the new things.
Keep up that energy level you will be need it when you get back to Arizona and want to do so much.

  12. Hey, Al & Kelly, we've got temps down in the mid 80's tomorrow, then back up to the low 90's. I already see some RVs pulled into Thousand Trails RV place, along Interstate 10. The season will shortly be upon us! :-)

  13. We just upgraded our desktop and are both struggling with Windows 8...NOT the most user friendly program...If you have found a cure for depression, please let me know...I haven't really been myself since we had to come back last January..My attitude stinks and I cry a lot..Now you KNOW, that's definitely NOT ME!! ;-(

  14. Loved the blue heron photos! I see you managed to hit some buttons and revert back to the Blogger comment format.

  15. Al, Google is becoming Big Brother. I was surfing the net the other day looking for a photo to illustrate something on the BC Blog and low and behold came across one of my own photos on Googles photo site...obviously taken from one of my posts!

It did have a link to my Blog and a small print notice that the photo MAY be copyrighted...Ha, like that's going to stop someone from using it.

As always, thanks for the link up to my solar project. We all learned something through trial and error, but hey, it works :))

I have the same uptick in energy...two weeks till we leave town in Goldie. Wonder if there is a connection? :)

  16. We are hitting the highway in a month also, but we will be heading to Florida from NM. Chuck's daughter lives in Bradenton, not far from your aunt. Weather in NM is turning cooler... 50's nights and 80's days! YAY! That is what gives us energy!

  17. Al, I can't thank you enough for your google+ statements. I'm beginning to think I'm the only one that objects and won't do it. I guess that will mean I won't have anyone's blog to comment on or anyone commenting on mine. But I'm tired of being "forced" into a company's electronic warfare. My way or the highway is right.

    Thanks again,
    Sherry
