PHEEBS MORNING ROUTINE WAS BACK ON TRACK AND SO WAS SHE

OUR COLD RAINY DAY WAS DARK ENOUGH FOR OUR FRONT YARD NIGHTLIGHTS TO COME ON
Not a good start to the day.  Waking up and climbing out of my living room recliner, I was immediately aware of a sharp pain in my right thigh.  Luckily my cane was close at hand and with the cane taking the weight off my right leg I could at least hobble around.  And this is the way it went for the next four hours.  I didn't even get out of my pajamas.  But, it wasn't only me with a few woes this morning because it was soon evident that Pheebs wasn't having a good morning either simply because I wasn't having a good morning.  She refused to touch her breakfast and expressed no interest in going for her morning walk with Kelly.  I had managed to make it to our sunroom and resigned myself to my recliner there.  Pheebs laid right down beside my chair and stayed close.  Kelly had some errands to do in Goderich so she rolled out shortly after nine.  Half an hour later I shuffled out to the kitchen where I slowly began making myself a bowl of porridge.  It was while doing this that I soon noticed I was able to put pressure on my right leg again.  In fact, the sharp stabbing pain was completely gone.  I wasn't long in wolfing down my porridge, getting dressed, and heading out the door with a very happy little doggy right behind me.  A minute later we were in the Jeep and off down the road.  Pheebs morning routine was back on track and so was she:))

A WINDOWBOX SEEN IN BAYFIELD THIS MORNING
A cold rainy 50F day here with a low morning cloud cover hanging in the tops of the trees.  It was a drive into Bayfield and back for us guys.  And that was it for the day.  The morning pain in my hip never did come back.  I figure my physical vehicle washing activities over the past few days had caused the problem.  It was just too much twisting, turning, bending, and climbing up and down ladders for my arthritic hip joint.  At the time of posting this tonight. I am again able to run as fast as a speeding bullet and leap over tall buildings in a single bound.  I figure only people my age or slightly older will understand and remember what TV show that running and leaping analogy comes from.

WE'VE ALL HEARD ABOUT OR SEEN THE MOVIE 'FIDDLER ON THE ROOF'....WELL, HOW ABOUT BAYFIELD'S 'FIDDLER ON A GARAGE DOOR'
Ellen's Groove:)) I hadn't seen a new video on Ellen's bass playing for a while until today.  I am truly in awe of her amazing progress.  In this music video, you will see the confidence on her face as she flawlessly works her way through this song's bass line.  Watch for the smile breaking on her face when only seconds away from the finish she knows she aced it.  Her small 11-year-old fingers are just a dancin up and down the neck of her guitar.  I do have one small criticism though......I wished they would have toned down the other instruments and especially the singer's voice.  For this video, I think they should have highlighted the sound of the bass guitar from start to finish!!  It's Ellen's bass playing we want to clearly hear in this case.    Here's Hysteria
Al's Music Box:))
I Need You by America from the album 'America'.  1972  From time to time in my Music Box I may inadvertently play a song I have played before.  This isn't intentional, it has to do with my faulty memory.  I have a long list of tunes and my rule is to check off each song when I put it in the Music Box.  Sometimes I forget to check the song off but I will get a feeling that 'I might have played this song before'.  Such was the case for tonight's song by America.  And by the way, my faulty memory takes me to task a lot of times in Groaner's Corner too......including tonight:((

GROANER'S CORNER:(( A man joins a big corporate empire as a trainee. On his very first day of work, he dials the pantry and shouts into the phone, "Get me a coffee, quickly!"  The voice from the other side responded, "You fool you've dialed the wrong extension! Do you know who you're talking to, dumbo?"  "No," replied the trainee.  "It's the CEO of the company, you fool!"  The trainee shouts back, "And do you know who YOU are talking to, you fool?!"  "No," replied the CEO indignantly.  "Good!" replied the trainee, and puts down the phone.

  1. Love your opening photo with the blue light. Ellen is truly gifted. She plays with no effort whatsoever. The notes just roll off her little fingers.... and always that smile at the end and a giggle. I wonder how much she practices. Take it easy on that hip!
