A beautiful sunny morning with blue skies, big white fluffy clouds, and no big wind to blow our 55F temperatures back down into the mid-40s somewhere. After our walk, Pheebs and I leisurely cruised around half a dozen country roads with our front windows down and the Jeep's heater on. Even snagged a Tim Hortons coffee along the way.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( Father Murphy walks into a pub in Donegal, and says to the first man he meets, "Do you want to go to heaven?" The man said, "I do Father." The priest said, "Then stands over there against the wall." Then the priest asked the second man, "Do you want to get to heaven?" "Certainly, Father," was the man's reply."Then stand over there against the wall," said the priest. Then Father Murphy walked up to O'Toole and said, "Do you want to go to heaven?" O'Toole said, "No, I don't Father." The priest said, "I don't believe this. You mean to tell me that when you die you don't want to go to heaven?" O'Toole said, "Oh, when I die, yes. I thought you were getting a group together to go right now."

Two elderly ladies meet at the launderette after not seeing one another for some time. After inquiring about each other's health, one asked how the other's husband was doing. "Oh! Ted died last week. He went out to the garden to dig up a cabbage for dinner, had a heart attack and dropped down dead right there in the middle of the vegetable patch!" "Oh dear! I'm so very sorry," replied her friend. "What did you do?" "Opened a can of peas instead."

As usual, thank you for the FINE photos. And this time, especially for the beautiful autumn trees. I do like to see them. Long ago, I spent two years in upstate NY and was stunned, being from TX. I'm back in TX, and am always glad to remember how autumn can be...
ReplyDeleteWe've just put up our feeders and I'm watching Chickadees and Nuthatches visit.
