NEEDLESS TO SAY, I AM FINDING THIS BOOK VERY INTERESTING

A BEAUTIFUL LOOKING MORNING FOR OUR GRAVEL ROAD WALK
A cool northwest wind blew in overnight and thankfully dropped our temperatures into the mid 50'sF.  I had to wear a long sleeve flannel shirt and a jacket on our walk this morning and that was quite A-OK with me.

THE NORTHWEST WIND PLAYING ACROSS THIS CORNFIELD MADE IT LOOK LIKE A SEA OF GREEN UNDULATING WAVES
From our walk, Pheebs and I headed back into Bayfield for a swing down around the harbor/beach area and along Bayfield's main street to check on the construction work there.

I BET THESE OLDER FOLKS HAD THEIR CAR HEATER ON SITTING HERE
CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON??  NOPE, JUST A YOUNG FELLA DOING SOME SURFBOARDING
THE HURON EXPLORER 1 IN PORT THIS MORNING
ALWAYS A NICE DISPLAY OF BOATS EACH SUMMER

BECAUSE IT IS PEAK TOURIST SEASON, BAYFIELD'S MAIN STREET CONSTRUCTION IS HALTED UNTIL SEPTEMBER
THE BUSIEST PLACE IN TOWN WAS THE LOCAL COFFEE SHOP
WORK CONTINUES ON THE NEW BAYFIELD BRIDGE'S PEDESTRIAN WALKWAY ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE BRIDGE
Home again around 10:30 I took advantage of the cooler morning air and scooted around finishing up a number of small jobs needing finishing up.  By noon it began getting a little sticky out so I wrapped things up and headed inside.  Kelly had slipped up to Goderich on some errands.  By 3 o'clock the temps had dropped again and I had to put on a T-shirt and long sleeve flannel shirt.  Very unusual weather patterns this spring and summer so far.

HERE AT HOME, I THINK I MAY HAVE TO TRADE IN MY LAWN MOWER FOR A MACHETE

Finished another great book called, Jorgy.  The Life of Native Alaskan Bush Pilot and Airline Captain, Holger 'Jorgy' Jorgensen.  The story of this legendary man starts with his rough and tumble childhood and how with only a grade 8 education he went on to become a commercial airline pilot flying both four-engine prop planes and jets.  With a Norwegian father and Eskimo mother, this is a true story of determination and courage in the face of challenging adversities in Jorgy's life.  Aircraft and flying aficionados will find a lot of pilot and older aircraft information in this book.

I am currently reading 24 Minutes On The Other Side:: Living Without Fear Of Death.  This book is a bit of a change for me but it does link in with so many of the books I have been reading over this past year and a half.  Needless to say, I am finding this book very interesting.

GROANER'S CORNER:((  Two golden-agers were discussing their husbands over tea. "I do wish that my Elmer would stop biting his nails. He makes me terribly nervous."  My Billy used to do the same things," the older woman replied, "but I broke him of that pesky habit."  "How?"  "I hid his teeth!"

The twin girls walk into a store. After selecting a few items they go to the cashier.  The cashier looks at them and says, "Are you two girls sisters?"  The twins both laugh and then one says, "Sisters? We aren't even religious."
