ROADSIDE CLOVER |
Despite our cool 44F overnight temperature, it was a beautiful sunny morning. With a long sleeve flannel shirt over my short sleeve shirt and a lite jacket over my two shirts, it was a comfortable morning walk. Pheebs' all-weather furry coat was, as usual, just right for the occasion.

Yet again, we didn't go any further afield with the Jeep and instead returned home. I had about half a utility trailer load of yard waste so I hooked the Jeep and hauled the branches and stuff to the Park's recycle area. Decided to give my legs a break so we didn't do an afternoon walk.
A FEW FLOWERS AROUND OUR PARK THIS MORNING |
Still no sign of Little Red and I must say I'm a little worried. Despite him driving me bonkers most all the time I do miss the little guy. Update:: Little Red finally showed up with his twin brother late this afternoon but neither one of them bothered with the newly squirrel-proofed feeder. So far so good and I'm hoping we can all get back on a harmonious footing again. Now, on to the problem of a certain Black Squirrel getting onto our bird station. It seems I may have to trim back some more tree branches. These squirrel problems just never end:(( After a shortened walk with Pheebs this morning, Kelly spent much of her day in her recliner. She sent her London doctor an email with some important questions about hemoglobin levels earlier but has not heard anything back. Disappointing.
GROANER'S CORNER:(( Before celebrating a baptism, the deacon approached the young father and said solemnly, “Baptism is a serious step. Are you sure you’re prepared for it?”“I think so,” the man replied. “My wife has made appetizers and we have a caterer coming to provide plenty of cookies and cakes for our guests.”“I don’t mean that,” the deacon replied. “I mean, are you prepared spiritually?”“Oh sure,” came the reply. “I’ve got a keg of beer and a case of whiskey.”--------------------------------------------
I called Animal Welfare today and said, "I've just found a suitcase in the woods containing four kittens." “That's terrible," she replied, "Are they moving?” “I'm not sure, to be honest," I said, "but if they were that would explain the suitcase.”

Glorious flowers!!! I love the Daisies with the dew drops. Pretty sure I can smell the red geraniums - they're beautiful.

Not normally much of a TV watcher anymore I did set a few hours aside for some TV time this morning. And that is all I had better say about that.
<<<have the same squirrel problems as you Al, as long as they don't have guns and weapons they are welcome here. A great distraction .
