I HEARD A RUCKUS IN THE TREE BRANCHES

IT IS A VERY GREEN FRONT YARD WE HAVE ONCE AGAIN
A gentle steady rain all night right up to about 9 a.m. this morning I'm sure it has made the area's farm folks mighty happy.  I know all the plant life is overjoyed and even some of my recently planted grass has sprouted.  Our foliage is literally exploding into growth.

WE HAVE MORE FERNS GROWING THIS YEAR THAN EVER BEFORE

WISHED I KNEW THE NAME OF THESE YELLOW FLOWERS
OUR SMALL CORKSCREW TREE IS LEAFING OUT
AND BY GOLLY MY RECENTLY SEEDED GRASS IS ACTUALLY GROWING ......WELL WHO WOULD HAVE EVER THUNK IT EH
No walk for Pheebs and I this morning because of the rain but we did do a little Jeep ride into Bayfield and back admiring all the nice landscaping and beautiful homes along the way.  We are so fortunate to live in such a nice area here along the eastern shores of Lake Huron.

WHEN I STOPPED TO TAKE A PHOTO OF THESE TWO DIFFERENT TYPES OF TREES BLOOMING TOGETHER I HEARD A RUCKUS IN THE BRANCHES AND TOOK THE PHOTOS BELOW

I'LL LET READERS USE THEIR OWN THOUGHTS TO CAPTION THIS PHOTO:))
ALSO IN THE SAME TREE, I SPOTTED WHAT I THINK IS A BALTIMORE ORIOLE WATCHING THE ACTIN
THE REASON HE IS LOOKING A BIT BEDRAGGLED IS BECAUSE IT WAS RAINING WHILE I TOOK THESE PHOTOS
With everything growing so fast now I had to do a fair bit of tree and shrub trimming today.  While at it I figured I might as well cut down some of the older Sumac trees out around our carport, so that's what I did, then loaded up the utility trailer with branches and hauled it all off to the Park's recycle area.  The only way I was able to get any of this work done was because of the cooler weather.  I think we may have topped out around 58F.  And it looks like 58 will be about the average temperature for the next two weeks.  And that is quite alright with me:))

Pheebs and I did get out for a walk around the Park's pond this afternoon but I didn't take a camera along.  Some days I just take way too many pictures.  We finished our day under a mixture of sun and cloud.

OUR REDBUD TREE IS IN BLOOM
GROANER'S CORNER:((
A man goes into the hospital for some tests. The medical staff knocks him out, and when he comes around there is a doctor peering over him, pulling up his eyelid and wielding the reflex hammer.  The doctor says: "Ah, I'm glad you're awake. I'm afraid I have some good news and some bad news."  The man says: "Don't hold back, Doc, tell me the bad news."  The doctor says "Your condition was worse than we thought and we had to amputate both of your legs."  The man asks: "What is the good news, then?"  The doctor replies: "The man in the next bed wants to buy your slippers."

Tricked into watching Happy Days, I fell victim to a Fonzi Scheme.

  3. After seeing the winter shots of your yard and then seeing today's shot - so-o-o pretty with all the lush growth. Love the moss and the various other flowers. The oriele shots were cool too. Enjoy this fantastic time of year.
