YES, I DO ENJOY READING

THE COLOR GREEN AND RUNNING WATER GO HAND IN HAND WITH SPRING
A short drive into Bayfield and back for Pheebs and I this morning.  The lake ice is quickly melting and no longer stretches out for as far as one can see anymore.  Our ominous weather advisory of freezing rain Wednesday did not materialize.  But, we sure had some strong gusty winds whip through our area with rain beginning shortly after noon.  Surprisingly, sunshine burst through the clouds around 2 p.m and lit up our sunroom.  It later clouded over again and rained.  Still windy, our power winked out for a few seconds which was just enough to temporarily knock out all our digital clocks and light timers.

IT'S NICE TO SEE THE HORIZON OF LAKE HURON'S WATER BLUE AGAIN INSTEAD OF WHITE

THE LARGE MOUNDS OF ICE ON BAYFIELD'S NORTH AND SOUTH PIERS IS SLOWLY MELTING
My only trips outside this afternoon were to top up the bird feeders for the guys.  I noticed our grass is beginning to green up a wee bit.  Kelly made a batch of brownies this afternoon and I had only one.  It was the best brownie I've had in my entire life.  I remember as a small boy back in the late 40's when my Mother made a bunch of brownies and left them unattended.  I ate so many of them I was physically sick.  I could not eat brownies for many years after that and as I recall I couldn't sit down on my sore rear end for a while afterward either.  Probably had something to do with a spanking I got.  And that's my brownies story.

It's been a while since I last did a book update so here are the books I have read over the past six weeks or so.  'Ceres Colony Cavalier' by Tony Rodriquez, 'The Best Of Days' by Harry Nicholson, 'You'll See Wonders' by Harry Nicholson, 'What If' by Randall Munro, 'The Power Of Your Subconscious Mind' by Joseph Murphy, 'Waves Of Courage' by Wayde Rowsell, 'Alien Revelations' by Michael Alans, 'Convoy Escort Commander' by Sir Peter Gretton, and 'Beyond My Wildest Dreams' by Kim Carlsberg.  Yes, I do enjoy reading alright.  So much to still learn even in these waning years.  Lots I could say about each and every one of these books but what's the point.  If anyone is interested in any of these non-fiction books they can easily read the description and book reviews at Amazon's Kindle Store.

MY LOYAL NAVIGATOR KEEPS A CLOSE EYE ON THE ROAD AHEAD
GROANER'S CORNER:((  A well-worn one-dollar bill and a similarly distressed twenty-dollar bill arrived at a Federal Reserve Bank to be retired. As they moved along the conveyor belt to be burned, they struck up a conversation.  The twenty-dollar bill reminisced about its travels all over the county. "I've had a pretty good life," the twenty proclaimed. "Why I've been to Las Vegas and Atlantic City, the finest restaurants in New York, performances on Broadway, and even a cruise to the Caribbean.""Wow!" said the one-dollar bill. "You've really had an exciting life!"  "So tell me," says the twenty, "where have you been throughout your lifetime?"  The one-dollar bill replies, "Oh, I've been to the Methodist Church, the Baptist Church, the Lutheran Church ..."  The twenty-dollar bill interrupts, "What's a church?"

What do you call a dog that won’t come when you call it, refuses to sleep in its bed, and seldom wants to play?  A cat.

When my son graduated from high school, he had to give a speech. He began by reading from his prepared text.  'I want to talk about my mother and the wonderful influence she has had on my life,' he told the audience. 'She is a shining example of parenthood, and I love her more than words could ever do justice.'  At this point, he seemed to struggle for words. After a pause, he looked up with a sly grin and said, 'Sorry, but it's really hard to read my mother's handwriting.'

  1. A left-handed coffee cup, what will they think of next! I think you read more than I do, but I do love reading too.

  2. A penny's worth of advice only based on my personal experience. I too have internal bleeding started by a bicycle ride a few years ago. I agreed to have a cat scan done and they found a medium size mass and wanted to do a cystoscopy to take a sample and possibly remove the mass. I declined the operation and blood in urine continued, and got worse when I found out about a product called zeolite, which I couldn't find but did find some bentonite which I started taking. And the bleeding stopped after taking. Still taking BTW. I believe the body can heal itself given time and help. And the bentonite stopped the bleeding, which gives me some time to heal. As you know it takes more time to heal as you age. More to the story but wanted to get this out to you.
