A MIGHTY FINE MID-SEPTEMBER MORNING ON THE SHORES OF LAKE HURON AS SEEN FROM BAYFIELD'S PIONEER PARK THIS AFTERNOON |
A sunny and cool September morning saw Pheebs and I out taking our legs for a country road walk. Same place as the evening before when I took a few Moon shots after our evening walk. The Moon was so vibrant in the evening air with the planets Jupiter, Saturn, and Venus also clearly visible. We didn't go far in the Jeep this morning choosing instead to head back home.

Luckily, both my physical and mental energies teamed up for a change and I was able to get some outside things done. Figured it was a good day to begin putting away summer's yard ornaments and stuff. It's funny but we never did get around to planting any outdoor flowers in our big flower pots this year. I do think it is a sign of something. Interests definitely do change with the passing of years.

Pheebs and I slipped into Goderich this afternoon and picked up a Crispy Chicken something or other at Subway. Not one of my better decisions. I had seen it advertised on TV. Made the same poor decision based on the same advertising thing a couple weeks ago at McDonalds when I tried one of their Chicken McMuffins. I am either going to have to pay less attention to TV ads or enroll myself in a 'how to make better decisions' class. |

HEADING HOME |
Talked to Kelly for about an hour late this afternoon. She said there has been a marked change in her mother's condition the past couple of days. Kelly said she is sleeping a lot which isn't normal for her mother.
GROANER'S CORNER:(( Just as a surgeon was finishing up an operation and was about to close, the patient awakes, sits up, and demands to know what is going on. "I'm about to close," the surgeon says. The patient grabs the surgeon's hand and says, "I'm not going to let you do that! I'll close my own incision!" The doctor hands him the needle and thread and says, "Suture self."--------------------------
Did you hear about the two radio antennas that got married? The wedding was terrible, but the reception was excellent!

In our home, we tend to get the children to help out. One day our youngest son came into the living room and asked, “Does anyone want a cup of coffee?” “Yes please!” we said. He replied, “What kind of coffee do you want? Capitated or decapitated?”

I am always disappointed in any chicken sandwich I order at fast food restaurants in the interest of trying to eat healthy. My heart goes out to Kelly and her family. And to you and Pheebs--you both must be missing Kelly so much!
ReplyDeleteOh my, such a great display of all kinds of fine photos! And then you had energy for outside work. I am impressed. Pheebs looks interested in your sandwich.
ReplyDeleteDid she get a bite? Maybe, if it was loathsome, and maybe she didn't spit it out. Yeah, things do look good in the ads.....
Magnificent photo of a regal looking Miss Pheebs!!!
ReplyDeleteSome very nice shots, sir. I'm with you and Janna on the whole chicken sandwich thing, and I thought Pheebs looked disdainful at the prospects of a bite, lol.
ReplyDeleteYour moon shots are outstanding - the other photos are just your normal spectacular.
ReplyDeleteAwesome moon shots!
