YOU ARE A BIG PART OF THE REASON I ENJOY DOING THIS

IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN AND OUR GARDENS ARE BEGINNING TO DETERIORATE
A fast-moving nasty little thunderstorm roared through our area late Wednesday afternoon dumping a ton of rain on us in a short five-minute period.  Skies didn't clear soon enough for Pheebs and I to get out for an evening walk or a few sunset photos.

OLD SOL TRYING TO BURN HIS WAY THROUGH THIS MORNING'S CLOUD COVER
It's that time of year now where our gardens begin their slow decline into Autumn.  Once lush green ferns are turning brown and holes are appearing in our hosta leaves.  All leaves in general are beginning to take on a harder edge look.

EVEN OUR CONEFLOWERS ARE ALREADY BEGINNING TO LOOK RATTY
 HOSTA LEAVES

Overnight rains thankfully brought temperatures down but left country roads muddy.  Pheebs and I went for a walk anyway and aside from a few muddy paw prints in the Jeep afterward it was worth it just to get out and breath in some cool and refreshing morning air.  Failing to convince myself we should follow up our walk with a Jeep ride, we turned around and went back home.  Gloomy days have a habit of doing that to me sometimes.

DIDN'T HAVE MANY PHOTOS FOR TONIGHT'S POST SO I HAD TO LOOK FOR A FEW AROUND OUR YARD

 BY GOLLY, THERE'S THE PHEEBS
It was early afternoon before the cloud cover dissipated, so Pheebs and I took a drive into and around Bayfield just for something to do.  I was surprised at how busy it was along Main Street.  Of course, the quaint little village of Bayfield always attracts a lot of people during the warmer summer months.

I'm not in the habit of believing too much I read on the internet, but this Code Red For UFO Disclosure caught my interest and made some sense to me, and especially so in these trying times, we are all in right now.  It matches up with much of what I have been reading about these past ten months or so.  If you read this article with an open mind and seriously think about it, it just might make some sense to you too.

A word of thanks to all my readers again for all your kind words and support for my daily blog.  Please don't feel slighted if I don't respond individually to everyone but know that I see and read every one of your kind and encouraging words and Facebook likes.  Each and every one of you is a big part of the reason I enjoy doing this so much.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( A three-year-old boy went with his dad to see a litter of kittens. On returning home, he breathlessly informed his mother, 'There were 2 boy kittens and 2 girl kittens.' 'How did you know?' his mother asked. 'Daddy picked them up and looked underneath,' he replied. 'I think it's printed on the bottom.'

A not-so-bright young lady in the pet shop asks about buying a goldfish.  The salesperson asks if she needed an aquarium.  Her reply was, "I don't care what sign it is."

  1. Wish my landscaping looked half as good as yours. We are on water restrictions so it makes it very challenging to keep the landscaping looking reasonably good.

  2. Yup, seeing the same in our gardens. Hopefully you will have the choice to head south later this year.

  3. I'm in agreement with the article you linked. However, there is not much we, as an individual, can do to make changes or help the issue. In the meantime you are capturing the beauty of your surrounding area and I do appreciate the photos!

  6. Oh my. Caterpillar poop on the lovely pink coneflower. Well, it looks a bit too hairy to me for it to be one of those that turns into a lovely butterfly, but what do I know. Thanks for what you do....
Yup. Keith Richards probably always did look like that. And apparently, just keeps on looking like that. So much for taking care of yourself. Ha.
    Being rich probably helps.
