It was hot right from the get-go this morning but at least not as bad as the western side of the country where all-time heat records are being shattered both in Canada and the United States. So glad we put central air in when we did years ago. ONE OF BAYFIELD'S FISHING BOATS ENTERING PORT AND ONE LEAVING
Pheebs and I didn't go far this morning. A drive around Bayfield for a few photos then out into the countryside to let the morning's warm summer winds flow through our open windows. A short walk on Pavilion Road and we were soon back into the Jeep with Pheebs drinking half a bottle of water. I could tell she didn't like the heat either because while walking she dragged herself along behind me instead of scampering around like her usual self.
Home again, we came into the cool house and stayed inside for the rest of the day. I did try to put our lawnmower blade back on after it flew off Monday night but I had no luck whatsoever. I get so frustrated with myself when this mind of mine will not help me to figure out a simple thing like putting a lawnmower blade back on. I'm thinking of buying a cow now to keep the grass short.
IT'S A BUSY TIME FOR LOCAL FARMERS |
GROANER'S CORNER:(( Two golden-agers were discussing their husbands over tea. "I do wish that my Elmer would stop biting his nails. He makes me terribly nervous." My Billy used to do the same things," the older woman replied, "but I broke him of that pesky habit." "How?" "I hid his teeth!"

So summer has arrived. What are those boats doing? Is one a ferry? looks like it has some big opening in the back. (Sorry. I do not live near boats, so find them fascinating and interesting and have no clue.) As usual, your photos are so fine. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThose are fishing boats JK. The wide opening at the rear is where large fishing nets are splayed out and then retrieved.
ReplyDeleteTHANK you....
DeleteGlad you've got air conditioning. Our daughter and grandkids live out in southern B.C. You're an expert on finding different perspectives for your photos.
