TIME ENJOYABLY SPENT

At this stage, every day feels like a Sunday so when the real Sunday comes along it's hard to know its really Sunday.  On this beautiful June Sunday, Pheebs and I decided on a forest walk.  Headed south to Zurich Ontario then east about a mile and a half to the Klopp Commemorative Woods on the north side of the highway.  Had ourselves a cool fresh-air walk around a loop trail totally free of any Mosquitos or bugs of any kind.  Time enjoyably spent.  And that was our day....................
THIS FOREST HAS A HOBBIT HOUSE
AND JUST INSIDE THE DOOR OF THE HOBBIT HOUSE
HOBBIT MUSHROOM EGGS
GROANER'S CORNER:((
Two rednecks, Bubba and Earl, were driving down the road drinking a couple of bottles of Bud.  The passenger, Bubba, said "Lookey thar up ahead, Earl, it's a police roadblock!! We're gonna get busted fer drinkin' these here beers!!"  "Don't worry, Bubba," Earl said. "We'll just pull over and finish drinkin' these beers then peel off the label and stick it on our foreheads, and throw the bottles under the seat.""What fer?", asked Bubba."Just let me do the talkin', OK?," said Earl.  Well, they finished their beers, threw the empties out of sight & put labels on each of their foreheads.  When they reached the roadblock, the sheriff said, "You boys been drinkin'?"  "No, sir," said Earl while pointing at the labels. "We're on the patch."

  1. I love the flower pictures and I hope you don't mind me saving them to study as I try to learn how to draw flowers. Your pictures show the wonderful details of the flowers. Thank you for sharing them with your readers.

  5. I don't recall a visit to Klopp Woods before. But then I could have easily forgotten, senior moment you know. Lovely photos but what are the white and purple flowers, second last?

  6. Yes, I've posted a few walks in Klopp's Woods before and I think that flower was an Iris you asked about. All the best out there in the Okanagan. Over forty five years since I was last out that way.
