A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE BAYFIELD BUNCH:))

IN A WORLD GOING INCREASINGLY NUTS IT'S NICE TO BE SAFE AT HOME HERE IN OUR QUIET LITTLE COUNTRY SETTING NEAR BAYFIELD ONTARIO, CANADA

An absolutely gorgeous sunny blue sky day in the lower 50's made for a nice crisp morning walk in the Bannockburn Conservation Area.  A couple hours later I put in a few enjoyable hours working on several small yard projects.  In a society increasingly gone mad and quickly going to hell in a handbasket it's a nice feeling to be safe at home here in our quiet little rural countryside setting near Bayfield Ontario, Canada.
GROANER'S CORNER:((  Mr. Smythe had been giving his second-grade students a short lesson on science. He had explained about magnets and showed them how they would pick up nails and other bits of iron. And now it was question time.... "Class," he said, "my name begins with the letter 'M,' and I pick up things....What am I?"
A little boy on the front row said, "You're a Mother."

  2. I can't think of anybody I'd rather have that peace and security than the Bayfield Bunch. And, you share it with us. Incidentally, this was the third time TODAY that I heard about that handbasket! Seems "many people" ( to quote somebody) agree with that sentiment.

  3. Your comment about "going to hell in a hand basket" was something my husband used to say from time to time. This week I used this quote in a text to a friend regarding the state of things here below the border.

  4. You sure do live in a calm and beautiful hamlet away from chaos and mayhem. We were thinking that today as we took a four mile walk along a beautiful lake on a Sunny 63 degree day. My hopes for the future look dim.

  5. I love your area, you two are so lucky to have such beauty and abundance of open area to hide out in during this mess. Beats a condo with no deck anyday!

  6. Living just East of Algonquin, where there is little evidence of the virus and we love one another equally, I feel like we live on another planet these days.
