PHOTOLESS MONDAY UPDATE

Anxious to see what our old Ghost Town Road house and property looked like we were up and out the door before 8 a.m. Sunday morning heading for Congress Arizona.  Nice to see all our old familiar spots along the way.

Happy to say we were very pleased with what we saw.  Both the house and grounds are looking just as we left them and I’m happy to see the current owners have continued with the cactus gardens I had originally started.  Both Kelly and I feel good about buying that tumble down house and overgrown weed infested property a few years ago then working hard to turn it around into what it looks like today.  So pleased the new folks have continued our efforts and seeing the house and property looking so good made my day.

From Congress it was over to Wickenburg’s Safeway, McDonalds, Maverick Gas Bar, and TSC before heading back to our rig parked at Vulture Peak.  The trail head parking lot was Okay for an overnighter but being close to the highway there seemed to be a steady stream of noisy Harley-Davidson motorcycle groups going by plus ATV’s in the parking lot.

About 4 o’clock I’d had enough of all the noise so Pheebs and I piled into the Jeep and off we went to find a quieter spot.  And we found one.  No more noise, no more people.  Again, we had found our true element and the main reason for our being here in the Southwest in the first place.  It’s all about the beautiful scenery and nature’s quiet ways for us.

At our present location we sometimes have a good connection and sometimes we have no connection at all.  It’s a hit and miss thing but that’s Okay because I haven’t felt much like blogging these last few days anyway.  I’m tired of fighting with the stupid Blogger format and despite all the patches, fixes, and fellow Blogger advice Kelly has been unable to get my Live Writer program working.  She has tried everything.  Like I have said before, when blogging isn’t enjoyable for me anymore and becomes a frustration there’s no point in me continuing it...………..

  1. Oh no!!!! Don't stop blogging. Your dedicated readers, which I am one of, would be very upset if you quit blogging. You are tougher than that.

Sorry to hear of the blogger woes. Not fun when things don't go well in the electronic world!! Hopefully you get a good connection and get things worked out so you can continue to blog. It makes my day to see your photos and read your post. You have a wonderful sense of humour.

  6. We all have those days and have to learn to change with the times. A day without reading Travel With The Bayfield Bunch would be a real disaster.
Be Safe and Enjoy your time in the Southwest.

    It's about time.

  7. Live writer is not working for me either. I can post text only, but with pictures it does not work. Very strange. And Google gives a good day in this, so it seems.
