I’M NOT UP ON MY BUTTERFLYS BUT I THINK THIS IS A TYPE OF SWALLOWTAIL
At 53F first thing this morning I had a long sleeve flannel shirt over top my short sleeve shirt when I headed outside. Energized by the cooler air I was able to effortlessly slip into work mode first hooking up our utility trailer then loading up 2 large loads of accumulated yard waste for our recycle area. Rototilled up another tough root bound area out front in preparation for planting more bush cedars, day lilies and hostas. Luckily the heat and humidity held off for a few hours but by 11 it was too much again and I had to retreat inside the house and throw myself into the shower. Checking the weeks weather I see our refreshing cool spell was only temporary with daytime temps heading back into the upper 80's. Got way too hot and humid for me again this afternoon so I had no choice but to stay inside close to my fans and A/C.
I THINK THIS WAS ALSO A TYPE OF SWALLOWTAIL BUTTERFLY BESIDE OUR GARDEN HOSE
I BELIEVE THESE TO BE CABBAGE BUTTERFLYS
It was 5 years ago August 9th we first met our fabulous Pheebe and only hours after meeting her she was all ours:)))) HI EVERYBODY......MY NAME IS EVE Eve was short for Evelyn so we weren’t long in re-naming her Pheebe commonly referred to now as Pheebs. My 2 main nicknames for Pheebs are, ‘Spoogers’ and ‘Bugs’. I often refer to her as ‘Hey You’ and ‘Rascal’ as well. She is just the sweetest little girl and we love her sooooooo much:))
Don’t know if you are able to follow our blog any more Retired Rod but if so we at the Bayfield Bunch just wanted to say Hello and wish you all the best in your recovery. Still thinking about you and all of us out here in RV Blogland will forever remember your Roomba post from March 4th 2014:)))))))
THERE ARE 5 BUTTERFLYS IN THIS PHOTO
Can’t think of too much more to write about tonight so I'll leave you with some butterfly photos I took earlier today in our front yard. That new butterfly bush I planted a couple days ago sure is working it's charm.

I do miss Rod. Hope he is doing okay. I laughed so hard when he wrote the Roomba post. That is a classic. Then when his wife passed, wow, what a shocker. He was a real trooper though, continuing on in life without his precious wife. Rod, we miss you.
ReplyDeleteThe butterflies are gorgeous. You guys sure struck gold the day Pheebe came into your lives. Whatta dog!
ReplyDeleteLove your posting. The pictures are beautiful and the jokes are hilarious.
ReplyDeleteNow those are good ones!
ReplyDeleteSwallowtail butterflies have tails at the bottom of their wings. Looking at your images here, #2 and #4 show tails and are swallowtails, none of the rest do/are.
ReplyDeleteWe have been wondering about Rod as well after finally meeting him and spending some quality time with him twice this past January. The Roomba Post has us in stitches as well.
ReplyDeletePheebs is sure one special girl, I remember that day 5 years ago when she arrived, time sure flies.
Wow, five years already?? She sure is a blessing. Can't see a Roomba without a chuckle - Rod will forever be remembered for that gem. Hope he's healing well. So nice to have lovely butterflies in your yard, thanks you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't seem possible it's five years since you found each other. Lucky she got along with little Cora.
ReplyDeleteHard to believe that five years has passed since your got your very special girl. Each and every day since then has been extra special for all three of you.
ReplyDeleteSmall Rod update - he's undergoing a second round of chemo and radiation and is doing as good as can be expected. I sent him a text about Scooter and our house sale. Got a two word response of "well good" and was really excited to hear from him. That's really about all there is so far. Have you heard about Denise (Sassy)? I figured maybe she had you on her list. Let me know.
ReplyDeletePheebs is most definitely a special little lady:) So glad we got to meet her and hang with her. The butterflies are beautiful. Great photos:)
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to believe it has been 5 years already.
ReplyDeleteThe day I read the Roomba post I un-programed my Roomba. lol It only runs when I'm around to watch it. I still haven't trained one of the cats to ride it like they show on Facebook.
