I TOOK PHEEBS OUT FOR LUNCH
OUR FRONT YARD’S BUSY FROG POND IS VERY QUIET THESE DAYS AS IT LIES STILL UNDER A TOPPING OF DUCK WEED AND PINE NEEDLES
Well, I am having one of my evening blank spots tonight. Always something to write about of course but I do not always have the creative initiative in putting the words together. As fast as my mind comes up with a subject idea my mind also quickly categorizes the topic as too boring, too controversial, too repetitive, too serious or too silly. Sometimes I am just too analytical and find myself with a heavy case of analysis paralyses at the end of the day.
Raked up up a bunch of pine needles and trimmed back some flower beds with the weed whacker. Fired up the chain saw for a couple minutes to cut down a thick stand of Bamboo grass in the back yard. Burned some garbage in the burning barrel and of course grabbed a few winks in my chair. Lots of things to do for our upcoming trip but my travel excitement has tanked.
Had a load of garden trimmings in the utility trailer so Pheebs and I headed for our Park's environmental dump area. Would have taken the Motor but she was sound asleep in a warm patch of sunlight on the couch. Pheebs helped me unload the trailer so I took her to Subway for lunch. We split a 6" Cold Cut Combo and Pheebs got to ride in the front seat of the Jeep for a change. Happy, happy, little Dog:))
Before I forget……a solid amber engine light on your dash does not denote a serious problem and you are free to drive on. However, a ‘flashing’ amber engine light is serious business and you had better pull over and shut it down.
Again, IVAN has some great mountain scenery and flower photos from out around Mount Rainier way. I always enjoy Ivan's posts because he gets himself off the main roads and usual tourist hang outs and heads himself onto the back country roads few of us would dare to go. Instead of the standard along the highway viewpoints we so often see, Ivan gets in around behind the viewpoints in many cases and his photos give a refreshingly new look to some old familiar sights.
GROANER'S CORNER:(( A 54 year old woman had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital.
While on the operating table she had a near death experience.. Seeing God she asked "Is my time up?"
God said, "No, you have another 43 years, 2 months and 8 days to live." Upon recovery, the woman decided to stay in the hospital and have a face-lift, liposuction, breast implants and a tummy tuck.
She even had someone come in and change her hair color and brighten her teeth! Since she had so much more time to live, she figured she might as well make the most of it. After her last operation, she was released from the hospital. While crossing the street on her way home, she was run over and killed by an ambulance. Arriving in front of God, she demanded, "I thought you said I had another 43 years? Why didn't you pull me from out of the path of that ambulance?
God replied: " I didn't recognize you."

ReplyDeleteYahhh for Pheebes! That's a good groaner's corner there today! Actually it was great! Thanks. Analysis paralysis might be cured by taking on a different personality and writing from their perspective. Take care now and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt seems like there are plenty of bloggers in the same boat, and I'm certainly one of them. My Muse is out gallivantin' somewheres and I wish she'd get back and help me out.
ReplyDeleteIs it your birthday?
ReplyDeleteIS't it about time for you guys to start tinking about getting on the Road Again?
ReplyDeleteAs you may have noticed,my blogging has slowed considerably of late...This exciting life we lead doesn't lend itself to a great blog, eh?...BUT..I prefer the peace and quiet to bedlam anyday!..
ReplyDeleteIf I had a nice piece of sunshine on the couch, like Cora, I wouldn't want to move either.
