LITTLE RED TIED UP THE SCORE AGAIN TODAY:((((((

Decided to scrap the four winter rims idea for the Jeep and simply go with 4 new summer tires so Pheebs and I popped around to Huron Tirecraft this morning and set up an appointment for next Wednesday.  With a new muffler going on the Jeep next Tuesday and the noisy winter tires being replaced with quieter smooth tread tires the following day we won't even be able to hear ourselves going down the road anymore.  I'm going to like that.
IT WAS A SLIGHTLY MISTY MORNING FOR SOME FARMERS WORKING THEIR FIELDS
It was a cold cloudy morning with temps somewhere in the mid 40's.  Not the nicest morning for a Jeep ride but we went out anyway.  Fog in the air and we noticed a few farmers out on the land.  Skies cleared late morning and we ended up under bright clear sunny skies.  But still 'cold'.
MORE BOATS ARE BEING PUT IN THE WATER EVERY DAY NOW
Home well before 10 I busied myself in the area where we've parked our RV's for the past bunch of years.  Being the optimistic realist I can sometimes be I've measured off a 30 foot area saving that space for a smaller RV at some point.  The other drive-thru 20 feet I tilled up and raked off before seeding with white clover and grass seed.  When the Motorhome was parked there it blocked that area and gave us privacy but right now it's just a big empty open space and I have to think of a way to regain our privacy again.  We're not allowed fences here but I'm thinking of some kind of temporary privacy oriented decorative divider until we can maybe fill that space with an RV again.
LOOSENING UP THE SOIL TO PLANT CLOVER AND GRASS
GRASS AND CLOVER IS IN NOW AND I HAVE JUST ROLLED IT
Well it's one of the biggest long week-ends of the year upon us.  May 2-4 or the 24th of May.  Makes no difference in our lives out here in our small countryside Park but things will be really busy in all the lakeside communities like Bayfield, Grand Bend, and Goderich.  Cottagers and boaters will be flocking into the area to kick off the unofficial start to Summer.  We've learned that long week-ends in our area are good week-ends to stay home.
SO DISAPPOINTED THIS AFTERNOON TO SEE OUR LITTLE SIDE TRAIL HAS BEEN SMASHED THROUGH BY A MACHINE HAULING LOGS OUT OF THE FOREST
THIS MACHINE CALLED A 'SKIDDER' IS WHAT MASHES IT'S WAY THROUGH THE FOREST TO PULL OUT THE FALLEN TREES
OUR QUIET TRAIL WAS COMPLETELY BLOCKED HERE BY A FALLEN PINE TREE
PHEEBS AND I HAD TO SCRAMBLE OUR WAY AROUND THE BLOCKED TRAIL
I HAD REALLY BEEN HOPING THEY WOULD LEAVE THE REST OF THE PINE FOREST ALONE BUT IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE IT
Thanks to Stew, Marie, and Bob for identifying the mystery plant I had taken a photo of last Tuesday.  Below are a few photos taken today of the Horsetail Plant plant.
HORSETAIL PLANTS

PHEEBS STANDS BESIDE WHERE ALL THE HORSETAIL PLANTS ARE GROWING
I sure was disappointed tonight just after supper when I looked out and saw 'Little Red' sitting contentedly atop the bird feeding station vacuuming up all the birdseed.  Chased her off and waited for her to come back to see what masterful plan she had figured out for getting on that feeder again.  It just never ends does it and oh, I thought of a reader's question today that had slipped my mind last night.  Yes we still have a couple Black Squirrels in our front yard but surprisingly they have not been trashing the bird feeders like they usually do.

EARLIER TODAY WHEN LITTLE RED COULDN'T GET UP ONTO THE BIRD STATION SHE TOOK TO JUMPING ONTO  BOTH THE THE SUET AND FINCH FEEDERS
JUST BEFORE SUPPER I TOOK A PHOTO OF LITTLE RED SITTING NEAR THE BIRD FEEDER STATION STARING AT THE POLE....IT WAS SHORTLY AFTER THIS PHOTO I SPOTTED HER ATOP THE BIRD FEEDING STATION
GROANER'S CORNER:(( Things To Think About::
- Never read the fine print.  There ain't no way you're going to like it.
- If you let a smile be your umbrella, then most likely your butt will get soaking wet.
- The only two things we do with greater frequency in middle age are urinate and attend funerals.
- The trouble with bucket seats is that not everybody has the same size bucket.
- To err is human, to forgive - highly unlikely.
- Do you realize that in about 40 years, we'll have thousands of old ladies running around with tattoos!!
- Money can't buy happiness -- but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than in a Hyundai.
- Drinking makes some husbands see double and feel single.
- Living in a nudist colony takes all the fun out of Halloween.
- After a certain age, if you don't wake up aching in every joint, you are probably dead.

WEE BIT OF A BUSY DAY BUT WE SENIORS CAN HANDLE IT

A PATCH OF INDIGO BLUE IN OUR GREEN CEDARS THIS AFTERNOON
Dealing with a growing forgetful mind is an ongoing and growing daily problem for many of us and I am in that bunch.  Forgetting to reply to emails and reader's questions is bad enough but not remembering those emails and questions coming in is even worse so tonight (before I forget) I'll answer a few remembered questions from the past few days...............…
NO SQUIRRELS ON OUR FEEDER STATION TODAY BUT LITTLE RED IS STILL TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT

INDIGO BUNTING ON LEFT, MALE ROSE BREASTED GROSBEAK, AND FEMALE CARDINAL ON RIGHT
- Dizzy over at Dizzy's Wanderings and Wonderings wondered what the plant was in the third photo from the bottom on my Tuesday post.  Good question and one I do not have an answer for despite trying to find it on the Internet.  Horn Pipe and Pipe Stem sticks in my mind but I was unable to find anything under those two names.  I'm wondering if the Furry Gnome up there in Meaford Ontario might know.
- The reason for Kelly's long wait to have an MRI done is we think due to the shortage of hospital MRI machines here in our area or Canada.  The hospital MRI machines we do have run 24 hours a day and Kelly's appointment is scheduled for 7 o'clock at night.
- The Cedar colored paint I am using for outside decks is made by the Rez company and is called Revitalize.
- There was some concern expressed about Little Red being a Mother and needing a reliable food source.  Each time I dump birdseed on the feeder station I sprinkle seed around on the tops of a few flat stump post I have placed in the garden near the feeder.
- Are or will we be missing the Motorhome.  At the moment we are not missing it but come November I may have an entirely different answers for those two questions.  I generally always have a place in my heart for each and every vehicle I've (we've) owned and the Big was no different.  Kelly and I bought our first RV together in September of 1996.  It was a 17' 1979 Class C Dodge Centurion and it was the first of 7 RV's to follow over the years.  We were RV-less from 2004 to 2006 but have never been without an RV in the driveway from September 06/06 until now.  We may very well have one more RV left in us.  By the way I have a list of all our RV's and a whole bunch of other vehicles I've had over the years.  You can find them here at Clunkers.
- Seems like there is still another question from the last few days stumbling around in the cobwebs of my cranium but just can't think what it is.
BUSY FARMERS IN THE FIELDS TODAY
PHEEBS CHECKS OUT A DITCH FULL OF MARSH MARIGOLDS
A busy Thursday with Pheebs and I first stopping to make myself an eye appointment at Clinton's Huron Optometric.  Next was Sun Country for birdseed then a stop up the road at Clinton Tirecraft to get a quote on 4 Jeep Liberty winter wheel rims and 4 new summer tires.  Yikes!!  Following that it was a morning walk near Kerr's Campground and home after that.
'FOLLOW ME DAD'
LOOKS LIKE SOME LOCALS HAVE BEEN OUT HERE DOING SOME MUDDIN
DOGGY IN THE DANDYS
FORESTS ARE BURSTING FORTH WITH COLOR

THIS WAS THE END OF THE ROAD FOR US AND WE TURNED AROUND
HEADING BACK

DOGGY RUNNING FAST THROUGH THE GRASS
BACK AT OUR PARK  IN THE COUNTRYSIDE
Our newly planted White Clover is doing gang busters with tiny shoots coming up everywhere.  I've been socking the water to it too.  A lot of outdoor multi-task puttering going on too under warm sunny skies.  Damn bugs are out though!!!!
ALL THOSE TINY GREEN OUT OF FOCUS LEAVES ARE CLOVER
I ALWAYS PUT BIRDSEED ON TOP OF A FEW STUMPS FOR THE SQUIRRELS
I was at Goderich's Napa Auto Pro by two and back out of there ten minutes later after they determined the Jeep needed a muffler and tailpipe.  Have to go back again next Tuesday.  While in Goderich figured I'd slip out to the east end of town and pick up another 10 bags of topsoil for my next clover planting project which is mainly the back yard this time.  Grabbed another gallon of Cedar deck paint at the Canadian Tire Store and that was about it for the day...……………..
WILD TRILLIUM FLOWER
GROANER'S CORNER:((  A taxpayer received a strongly worded "second notice" that his taxes were overdue. Hastening to the collector's office, he paid his bill, saying apologetically that he had overlooked the first notice.  "Oh," confided the collector with a smile, "we don't send out first notices. We have found that the second notices are more effective."
