The confusing part is the lack of engine battery power, that is separate from the house batteries unless momentarily connected with the switch for starting. The engine battery could be dead and the alternator would provide power for running once the engine starts. A simple cheap volt meter to check the engine battery could prove or isolate that.
Another thing, do you have AC power with the generator?
MickeyBroginhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14509538255547762632noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10886995.post-12408302622756835572014-10-10T22:16:53.450-04:002014-10-10T22:16:53.450-04:00This is stupid I know, but will mention it, as if ...This is stupid I know, but will mention it, as if I know anything at all. When we were having probs with electrical a month or so ago, it turned out to just be the GFI thingy.. ours is on the outlet in the bathroom and that little red button was poked out, got tripped somehow and just poked it back in and everything worked... Also in MY RV you can't run the tv and microwave at the same time or it trips the reset inverter button... just maybe???Luci & Loreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05532319517164921110noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10886995.post-70920042691775352152014-10-10T21:35:11.912-04:002014-10-10T21:35:11.912-04:00I like Sturgis without the rally crowd:)I like Sturgis without the rally crowd:)Chuck and Anneke's RV travelshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01929384797592263167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10886995.post-68187323120925359082014-10-10T19:31:37.672-04:002014-10-10T19:31:37.672-04:00Ahhh when I saw RV park in your title, I went WHAT...Ahhh when I saw RV park in your title, I went WHAT???? now I see why.

When our inverter stopped working, Steve took the cover off (after unhooking any and all power sources) he found a loose connection. Tightened it up and put the cover on... restarted the power from the solar and batteries, and VOILA! It worked!

So if you have someone else along the way check it out again, perhaps they can try that?

We trust Solar Mike too, and he won't steer you wrong. I loved Mt. Rushmore...In one of the bars down town they re-enact the shooting of Bill Hickcock and it's pretty neat...They also have a Boot Hill Cemetery where Calamity Jane is buried, if I remember correctly. Also...watch the movie on how Mt. Rushmore was built...very interesting. Glad you didn't turn around and go back home...Luckily you do have a stix and brix in Arizona!Dennis and Donnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07320009741335075781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10886995.post-74908405288599218252014-10-10T18:01:35.525-04:002014-10-10T18:01:35.525-04:00Great place to stay put for a few days. Even though you still have to figure out what's going on with the rig, at least your winter doesn't depend on getting it fixed right away. :) I'm glad you found an rv park you can enjoy.
