CARRYING MY CANE FOR 'JUST IN CASE'

ONE OF TWO CANADA GEESE ON THE PARK'S POND THIS AFTERNOON
With the utility trailer still hooked up to the Jeep, Pheebs and I again took Subie for a drive into and around Bayfield.  My upper right thigh was feeling reasonably decent so we headed over to the cemetery for a walk around the perimeter road.  I made it three-quarters of the way before I ran into trouble and limped the rest of the way back to the car.  I do have a cane to help me but the big trick is remembering to take the cane with me.  Home again, I got right at what I needed to accomplish outside today.  Cleared the pathway across the road through a treed area between our house and the Park's pond then loaded up half a utility trailer with pine needles and leaves and took that to the Park's recycle area and unloaded it.  Anybody watching me would have seen a bent-over man working in slow motion.  Returning to the house I backed the utility trailer into its spot and unhooked it.  Mission accomplished.  Most of the rest of the day I spent in my recliner reading and making it a point to stay off my right leg and rest it.  Well, that is until a certain four-legged little doggy coaxed me to take her for a walk......Sorry about complaining about this sore upper right leg of mine but it has kinda become an 'in my face' concern for me right now.  It just seems to have rapidly become worse over these past few short weeks for some reason and even these past few days.......I did call Goderich's Maitland Valley Medical Center earlier today and made an appointment to see my Nurse Practitioner next Monday morning at 9:30................

A QUIET WALK ON A SUNNY ALMOST WARM MORNING
Carrying my cane for 'just in case', I was able to take Pheebs for a slow walk around the Park's pond this afternoon and snap a few pics along the way.

COLTSFOOT
GROANER'S CORNER:((  After a long illness, a woman died and arrived at the Gates of Heaven. While she was waiting for Saint Peter to greet her, she peeked through the Gates. She saw a beautiful banquet table. Sitting all around were her parents and all the other people she had loved and who had died before her. They saw her and began calling greetings to her - "Hello!" "How are you! We've been waiting for you!" "Good to see you!"  When Saint Peter came by, the woman said to him, "This is such a wonderful place! How do I get in?"  "You have to spell a word," Saint Peter told her.  "Which word?" the woman asked.  "Love."  The woman correctly spelled "Love" and Saint Peter welcomed her into Heaven.  About six months later, Saint Peter came to the woman and asked her to watch the Gates of Heaven for him that day. While the woman was guarding the Gates of Heaven, her husband arrived.  "I'm surprised to see you," the woman said. "How have you been?"  "Oh, I've been doing pretty well since you died," her husband told her. "I married the beautiful young nurse who took care of you while you were ill. And then I won the lottery. I sold the little house you and I lived in and bought a big mansion. And my wife and I traveled all around the world. We were on vacation and I went water skiing today. I fell, the ski hit my head, and here I am. How do I get in?"  "You have to spell a word," the woman told him.  "Which word?" her husband asked.  "Czechoslovakia."

  4. Aches and pains are never fun. Use the cane, it is so much better than not doing things or falling and getting hurt.

  7. Get to the doctor early & walk around the block for an hour - so your leg is in "full bloom" at your appointment. You might get a cortisone shot & an anti-inflamatory prescription. Wishing you the best Always.
