IT'S THE LAST WEEK OF APRIL AND THIS ISN'T FUNNY ANYMORE!!

 SEARCHING FOR SPRING
Knowing it would likely snow overnight it was not such a disappointment this morning to part our living room curtains and see the cold white stuff all over the ground again.  Even the Jeep was covered but that's because I had forgotten to back it into the carport Tuesday.

NOT WHAT WE WANT TO SEE FOR THE LAST WEEK OF APRIL
SNOWY DAYLILY LEAVES
OUR DAFFODILS WERE NOT HAPPY CAMPERS
It was off into Bayfield Pheebs and I went with Libby's heater cranked up and her passenger window down.  Slipped around to the beach area and of course, there were some guys in the icy cold Lake Huron water with surfboards and wet suits.

IT WON'T BE LONG AND THE GREY BAILEY BRIDGE WILL BE GONE
MIGHT BE THINKING OF TRADING IN THE BOAT FOR A SNOWMOBILE IF THIS COLD APRIL WEATHER KEEPS UP
Cruised to the southeast outskirts of Bayfield where I knew there to be a farmer's bush lane running east-west that would be out of the wind.  It was here we were able to park the Jeep and take ourselves for a walk.

WE HEADED OURSELVES DOWN THIS FARMER'S LANE FOR A MORNING WALK
Disappointing to still have snowy days in the last week of April but at least it turned up a few photos for me.  Snow, rain, hot or cold doesn't matter much to Pheebs, she just loves to get out for a walk.  I'm the old stick in the mud most of the time.

Being more health-conscious about the things I eat these last few years I picked up some seedless grapes and a box of blueberries last week.  Decided to have myself a handful of blueberries so Kelly thoughtfully included them in half a dozen big pancakes on my plate this morning.  Despite the pure Canadian maple syrup and butter, I could still taste those healthy blueberries.  All is good:))

THESE WERE FAMILIAR LOOKING LEAVES TO ME BUT I COULDN'T THINK OF THE NAME
Home again, I had no desire to venture back outside so it was another inside day.  I'm now reading Escaping From Eden by Paul Wallis.  I'm kind of in over my head again with this non-fiction book but I'm determined to stick with it in my ongoing search into what is really going on in this fascinatingly endless Universe of ours.  So much to learn, so much to comprehend, and understand.  I have barely scratched the surface over this past year with the many books I have read about this subject but I definitely am much farther ahead in my positive thoughts than I was a year ago at this time.  It's like a giant puzzle, but I am managing to gather more and more pieces together which in turn is giving me new and encouraging glimpses of the overall picture.  I continue to gain confidence by feeling that I am slowly heading in the direction of understanding and acceptance.

GROANER'S CORNER:((     A husband, the owner of a new car, was somewhat reluctant to allow his wife to drive his prize possession...even to the Supermarket which was a few blocks from the house.  After she insisted, he finally relented, cautioning her as she departed, "Remember, if you have an accident, the newspaper will print your age!"

Q: What do Eskimos get from sitting on a block of ice?
A. Polaroids.

Did you hear the joke about the jump rope? Naw, neither did i! Just skip it!

After she woke up, a woman told her husband,
“I just had a dream that you gave me the most beautiful diamond necklace. What do you think it means?”
“You'll know tonight,” he said with a smile.
The woman could hardly think of anything else all day and she couldn't wait for her husband to return home.
That evening, the man finally came home with a small package and gave it to his wife.  Delighted, she opened it excitedly to find a book entitled…“The Meaning of Dreams”

  1. Great pictures tonight, even if it is of snow in late April! I think you got more than we did.

  3. Snow in April is wrong and I'm sure the snow we will experience in May in Montana will also be wrong!
