SAW MY FIRST ROBIN THURSDAY MORNING

EVEN BAYFIELD'S CAPTAIN BARNACLE IS NOT HAPPY WITH THIS SNOWY WEATHER
We woke up to winter again with our landscape being completely covered in snow on this cloudy March morning.  Better now at this time of year as winter nears its end rather than in early November with the whole winter ahead of us.

GRACKLES ON ONE OF OUR BIRD FEEDERS
It was a short ride into and around Bayfield for Pheebs and I.  Thought about a walk in the cemetery but with an uneven icy road surface under the light fluffy snow, it would have been inviting trouble.

A LONE WALKER ON BAYFIELD'S SOUTH PIER
IT WASN'T UNTIL I EDITED THIS PHOTO THAT I NOTICED THE COUPLE ACROSS THE RIVER ON THE NORTH PIER
A FEW BAYFIELD FOLKS OUT FOR A WALK......DID YOU SEE THE DOGGY?  I DIDN'T WHEN I TOOK THIS LONG  RANGE TELEPHOTO SHOT
SNOW ON THE VILLAGES PALM TREES TODAY......PALM TREES??  YEP, METAL ONES:))
 I FIND CEMETERIES VERY PHOTOGENIC
We were home again in well less than an hour.  With snow coming down for a big part of our day our bird feeders were once again very busy.  So was I with my snow shovel.  At the time of posting tonight, we are under a snow squall watch for Saturday.  Saw my first Robin Thursday morning.

Eleven years ago we were in Lone Pine, California t
ouring the cowboy museum there.  Hopalong Cassidy, Gene Autry, and Roy Rogers.  If you want to see our time in Lone Pine just click either 'Newer' or 'Older' at the bottom of my posts to move a day ahead or move a day back.  I would love to return to the Lone Pine area and spend more time there someday.  This is where a number of old western movies were made years ago and here is the day I went In Search Of Randolph Scott's Campfire

GROANER'S CORNER:(( One morning the phone rang at 3:00 a.m. in Jeff's house. He picked up the phone and a woman asked, "Is this 555-1111?"  "No, this is 555-1112." Jeff replied.  "Oh, I'm so sorry for disturbing you." The woman said.  "That's alright," Jeff said. "I had to get up to answer the phone anyway."

  2. That 5th photo is a classy one. Very nice. You did some good cropping. Though the full photo is interesting. Brave souls all, being out and about in the weather.

  3. Nice photos tonight. Know what you mean about the shoveling, have been doing some each day for over a week now. Little by little it gets done.
