HOW NICE TO FEEL FRESH AIR COMING IN THROUGH OPEN WINDOWS AND DOORS:))

FOG IN THE AIR WHEN PHEEBS AND I HEADED OUT THIS MORNING
We had ourselves a fairly foggy morning earlier today so there really wasn't a lot to see, except fog of course.  Pheebs and I did venture out and decided to go have a look to see if our 'walking road' was open yet.  This short road is not plowed during the winter so it builds up with snow.  We only made it a few hundred yards along the muddy road before we were blocked by a heavy load of snow still across the road.  Now, had it been my foolish teenage years I would have unthinkingly put the Jeep into four-wheel drive and charged ahead into the snow.  And of course, I would have become stuck for sure.  One of the nice things about these senior years is all the hard-fought lessons learned over the years so I luckily backed down the road, turned around, and headed for home.

STILL TOO MUCH SNOW ON OUR 'WALKING ROAD'
 BACKING UP
It was late morning before the sun was fully out and I wasn't long getting myself out as well.  How great to feel the warming rays of the sun.  Fired up my lawn rake, pitchfork, and wheelbarrow and got busy raking up pine needles wherever I could.  Hauled out some of our outside summer stuff from our cluttered woodshed as well.  Some might think it's a bit too early to be getting out summer's stuff already and yes we can still have some of the worst storms of the winter hit us in the next 3 weeks but so be it if we do.  I had myself a good day and right now that's all that matters.  Oh ya and I even scrubbed all the winter sludge out of the birdbath and added fresh clean water for the birds and squirrels.  But, here's the funny thing....I never saw one bird, or squirrel or chipmunk all day.  Most unusual.  Say, you don't suppose they are all hunkered down knowing there is a big snow storm coming or something.  Nawwww, couldn't be.  Did I mention how great it felt to be outside today:))

RAKED UP 3 WHEELBARROW LOADS OF WET PINE NEEDLES
SO NICE TO SEE OUR BACKYARD EMERGING FROM THE SNOW
I'M MAKING HEADWAY GETTING SOME SUMMER STUFF OUT OF THE WOODSHED
OUR REAR DECK IS STARTING TO TAKE SHAPE FOR WARMER WEATHER
I'm anxious to get the rig out for a run and will do so as soon as the ice melts out of our driveway.  Backing it into the driveway on ice it would be too easy for the wheels to spin and slide the rig into the corner of our carport.  That's probably something else I wouldn't have thought about years ago.  'Crasho-O!!  Oh how great to be a senior now.  Instead of making all those dumb old mistakes, I can now make a whole bunch of brand new dumb mistakes I had never thought of before.

LOVING TODAY'S SUNSHINE AND WARMER TEMPERATURES
HOPING THIS DRIVEWAY ICE WILL ALL BE GONE IN A FEW DAYS
OUR NEIGHBOR MONICA'S YARD IS PREETY MUCH FREE OF SNOW
NICE TO SEE OUR COLLECTION OF SOUTHWEST ROCKS FREE OF SNOW
And how nice to be able to open windows and doors today to finally let in some brand new fresh air.  Oh ya, and I swept out the carport's concrete floor then blew all the dust out with the leafblower.  Also blew more of winter's debris off our front deck and porch as well.  We got up to 55F today and Thursday is predicted to be the same.  Say, did I mention.............

Late one night a mugger wearing a ski mask jumped into a path of a well-dressed man and stuck a gun in his ribs "give me your money," he demanded. Indignant, the affluent man replied, "you can't do this – I am a United States congressman!" "In that case," replied the mugger, "give me MY money."

  2. Loved your glorious photos of your sunny property. Still have a huge pile of snow at the front of our house - think it will be summer before it is all melted.
